We all wanted to recreate these dance movie moments. For this list, well be looking at the most iconic film choreography we tried our best and sometimes perhaps failed to nail. Our countdown includes Flashdance, Grease, Pulp Fiction, and more! What dance scene do YOU want to recreate?

Thank you for not forgetting Singin' in the Rain! Although Gotta Dance or Good Morning are the numbers that I'd prefer to recreate if I could.
Also pleased to see Sixteen Going on Seventeen on here. Wasn't expecting that. My favorite part of that film.
Too many cheese movies for my taste though. I would've put stuff like White Christmas or Newsies, or Finian's Rainbow, or any of the other Gene Kelly movies!
24yo male here!

Dirty Dancing's final dance scene. Is the greatest dance scene in movie history!
Patrick Swayze's performance in this movie made me want to be a dancer. He was just bad ass in this movie. He's a bad ass in every movie but in this movie it also got to showcase his sick dance skills. You bet your ass I've tried recreating this a million times. Lol. Great scene!

I would consider You Can't Stop the Beat (Hairspray 2007) or Saturday Night Fever / More Than a Woman (Saturday night Fever 1977) - both John Travolta films. I mean John Travolta's Lightning Bolt pose is something EVERYONE knows and is probably the most famous dance pose in film history.

Saturday Night Fever
West Side Story - America
She's All That - Prom Dance
13 Going On 30 - Thriller
Chicago - All That Jazz or Cell Block Tango
Bring It On - Clovers Brrr It's Cold In Here
Hairspray - You Can't Stop The Beat
Jailhouse Rock

Is it sad Im old enough to have seen and appreciate ALL of these movies? Granted some of the older movies were when I was a teenager watching Turner Classic Movies on cable, but still, I dont think my kids would sit down and watch them with me.
reply

I know I may be in the minority here but I was obsessed with recreating the line dance from the Footloose remake. That said, I feel like this list is missing the Stop The Rock scene from Boys and Girls.
reply

mean girls and bring it on I would have guessed would be by the top and I was thinking the Santa baby from mean girls was going to be first but I am happy you didn't forget singing in the rain
reply

My twin sister and I would do Hungry Eyes from Dirty Dancing. Just imagine 2 five year old identical girls trying to mimic the dance training. I wish we had video of that.
reply

It makes my heart happy that Gene Kelly's Singin' In The Rain made the list. That's one of my all-time favorite movies. And those were some solid honorable mentions too.
reply

The Pennis Song ( The Sweetest Thing ) I would cracked up doing the moves haha But yeah I super dooper agree with Dirty Dancing's Time Of My Life
reply

I would add something from the movie Across the Universe (2007. Maybe the Hey Jude or With a Little Help from my friends numbers
reply

I was 18 when HSM 1 was released and I was obsessed. Today at 35, when i see that scene, I can only think about Phil Dunphy
reply

Did I try to recreate all HSM franchise dances with my friends when I was a kid? Yes. Did it went well anytime? No, never
reply

I would would add two songs:
You cant stop the beat from Hairspray (2007) and
Dance the night from the Barbie movie.

reply

High School Musical was the golden age of Disney. I still sing along to the songs and it brings back so many memories.
reply

I would've included Joker Stair Dance & Dr. Robotnik's Dance. Even if I'm not running from the law nor have holograms
reply

I know everybody on Tik-Tok was doing the line dance to the song fake ID from the 2011 remake of Footloose.
