10. It's worth noting that after that episode, all of those other men are never seen again, whereas Leonard stays in Penny's life. That should give you a hint as to which man or men was or were the real embarrassment(s)
9. This scene made me sad. Sheldon and that girl could have been good friends. I think Leonard should have talked to her parents to see if it was okay that she be friends with Sheldon, rather than just take him away.
8. Yeah, Penny should have just gotten back together with Leonard, instead of pretending to.
7. That was probably LESS cringeworthy than any girls night that ever happened in real life.
6. To be fair, if Alex had the decency to not hit on an unavailable man, that conversation wouldn't happen. Even if we argue that Sheldon handled it the wrong way, the real villain was Alex for making Sheldon handle it at all.
5. Yup. And the most cringeworthy part is that they didn't even have to go to the emergency room. The nurse pressed a button that fixed a problem, something any of those 3 guys could have done.
4. I don't see the problem with it. These were just dreams. At least he didn't hit on Bernadette and have to be subjected to a book of STDs to make it stop.
3. Yup. One of the big recurring themes of the early seasons is that Howard considers himself a masterful ladies man, but the truth is that in a group of men that includes a man that can't talk to woman unless he's drunk, a man that has no interest in women until he meets Amy, and and a short man with asthma who's allergic to dairy products and corn, Howard is the worst man around the ladies. On the other hand, Penny overreacted in the end. Not only that, but she was made to be the fool in the long run when Howard got married before she did (yes, it was to the woman that Penny set him up with, but that doesn't negate my point.
2. I don't see the problem, as long as it was consensual.
HM1: Yup. It's worth remember this and noting that Sheldon bringing up the Mars Rover wasn't the only thing that got Howard denied. That was good enough reason by itself to deny him, but let's not pretend it was looking good for Howard before that.
HM2: Yup. Raj's behavior wasn't very good in that episode
HM3: I thought that was hilarious. Sheldon wasn't wrong. It was just a brilliant coincidence though up by the writers.
HM4: Yup. Proof that Penny is trash
1. Yup. If Bernadette hadn't made fun of Penny, that wouldn't happen.

If you take out the laugh track, 90% of the show is cringe. Between the stale acting without it, the pauses put in the script just for the canned laughter, and without the laugh track most of the jokes just don't hit.
Love the show and have watched all 12 seasons multiple times; but despite Chuck Lorre swearing he doesn't use the canned laughter to sweeten the show, without it I really don't think the show would have lasted as long as it did. It goes from quarky to creepy / douchey.

I'm kinda surprised there weren't any moments with Stuart that made the list. While it was nice that the lowly comicbook store guy got more chances to shine later in the series, I found some of his dialogue a little cringeworthy. Whether it was about him and Howard's mom or about looking after the baby and he wanted to help with the babysitting to circumvent the fact he was still technically freeloading with Howard and Bernadette

I always crack up at the robot hand bit and Sheldon's C-Men thing ( I do cringe a little at his line in the scene shown but it's more due to his being somewhat wrong about the X in X-Men. it's for the X-Gene that gives a mutant their powers, not really because Xavier decided to name things after himself since he had the whole school for that. yes I am that big a geek. )

Sheldon doing the talk with Alex is the ULTIMATE cringe for me. I honestly want nothing more than to beat the living sht out of Sheldon for saying those things! If anyone ever said those things in front of me, Id immediately punch them in the face!

Comedy is supposed to have some cringe in it. There are limits, of course. I will say that abandoning Howard's obsession with The Mystery Method (which was what his pick up tactics were based in) starting season three was a good call.

Nurse: What is this?
Howard: A robot arm.
Nurse: Where's the rest of it?
Howard: I only built one.
Nurse: Because that's all you needed.
LOL! That scene and line makes me laugh my $$ off everytime.

This show was so full of cringe moments that it is hard to choose only ten. All the romances were completely cringeworthy. They made no sense at all. They all should have broken up.

So it's cringe if the white woman is in bed with the brown man here but when Chandler and Monica did it in Friends everyone were excited. I can see a pattern here.

Definitely Howards questionable relationship with his mother. Im not surprised Amy made that snarky joke about Howard and his mothers relationships being incestuous.

A lot of stuff Sheldon said can make one easily cringe.
Except for the story about his Pop-pop. That was the studio audience's laughter that ruined it.

I never found the robot hand cringe
It's one of the few scenes from the show that showcases Howard's horniness without being offensive.

The animal experimentation is pretty awful. Mayim is a vegan and Johnny & Kaley are vegetarian. Really weird to have animal abuse jokes.

A little constructive criticism: The voice of the narrator in this video seems very blunt. The audience doesn't want to go to sleep.

I'm surprised Mrs. Wolowitz didn't make the list. She definitely had some cringeworthy conversations with the gang.
