The thing that I think gets lost in what makes her so damn good is that, unlike many of todays singers, she stays within what she knows she can do vocally. She isn't one of those who go through 6 different octaves on every other note just because they think they have to. She sings what she knows will sound good. She knows how to write. She knows how to produce. And the fact that she is the highest selling female artist ever, with comparatively few album releases, is a statement as to just how damn good her music is.

For my all-time favorite recording artists, Shania is #2 in my book (only behind Whitney Houston. I've seen her four times in concert and the first time was on my 28th birthday. She's beautiful, extremely nice & sincere and very very very tiny (well, standing next to me at 6'2.
I was SO delighted to see her turn what could have probably broken most of us, to come back in her SHANIA way!

I just picked up Come On Over on vinyl and had not listened to the album in years. The first few notes of Man I Feel Like Woman hit like nothing else. Just a few guitar notes and I'm ready to take on the world! Shania is an incredible artist and I'm so glad she is making music again so this younger generation can fall in love with her too! :)

Her Now album didn't do well but Swingin' with My Eyes Closed was important to me when it first came out due to the fact that I had recently lost my husband of 21 years. It touched a chord with me. I've always liked her songs that have attitude.
For his part, my late husband loved her soft, romantic songs.

Nice list. I regard From This Moment On as her finest track followed closely by Man! I feel like a woman and That impress me much.
However, you omitted her album Now, which has some great songs: Swingin' with my eyes closed, Poor Me and, in my opinion the best track on the album, Roll me on the river.

Youre missing You Win My Love, but Im so glad you included Youve Got A Way and The Woman In Me. My favorite song is When but unfortunately is so underrated it doesnt get its deserved attention. Im surprised Party For Two isnt on the list. I think Lifes About To Get Good should replace Come On Over.

I am not that acquainted with her music. But I like 4 best then 1 then 3 then 8. But after hearing the list I realized I knew more of her songs then I thought. her long time around had me thinking I was listening to copy cats more than once over the years.

Thank you for including songs from other albums besides Come On Over (which I do love. Up, The Woman In Me, Now and Queen of Me have some amazing songs as well. When You Kiss Me, KaChing, Party for Two and Swinging With My Eyes Closed may have made my list somewhere as well
