It can't be easy to find young doppelgangers for some of these actors! For this list, well be looking at film actor matchups for characters at various ages so good that we almost believe they're the same person. Our countdown includes casting from Hocus Pocus 2, The Age of Adeline, Contact and more! Which pairings had you doing a double take?

If you ever do a TV version of this I would suggest Star Trek TNG's episode Rascals. That was a pretty good job. Especially with Captain Picard's younger version. The actor who plays young Captain Picard had actually played Captain Picard's nephew a couple seasons before. The actress who played the younger version of Guinan, Whoopi Goldberg's character, had actually played the young version of Whoopi's character, Dolores, in Sister Act.

picking from just this list (including honorable mentions) I would put:
1. CC from Beaches
2. Agent K from MIB3
3. Lucy from 13 going on 30
4. Lila from Evening
5. Eddie from It
6. William from The Age of Adaline
7. Natasha from Black Widow
8. Bill from Mamma Mia1 Here we go again
9. the Cast from Now and Then
10. Gamora from Avengers: Infinity War
The rest can go to the Honorable Mentions list

How could you have included a clip of A League of Their Own at the beginning of this video and not mention it again at all. I fully expected it to be number 1. I have never seen better casting. Yet you included Meryl Streep and her daughter which naturally look alike and have genetically shared mannerisms. Big Fail.

Holy moly he looks very similar to Ford when he played Han Solo. Wow.
I love that Contact with Jodi Foster was mentioned. I was hoping it would be. It's one of my favorite movies. Everyone in it was fantastic. It was wild to see the actor who played her father as the serial killer in the movie Disturbia.

Although not a movie, in Little Fires Everywhere, Tiffany Boone did a great job of playing the younger version of Kerry Washington's character, Mia. I swear that girl had Kerry's speaking patterns and mannerism (including the mouth/teeth thing. LOL) down packed!

At the opening of the Beaches segment (I didn't know who was in it, I thought for sure that the 'old' actress was going to be Sarah Jessica Parker. but then, I guess Sarah herself would have been not much older at the time.

What gets me are young to older characters, or vice versa, that have different colored eyes. Dark brown to blue or green, or the other way around! I immediately stop really getting into the film after that most of the time.

1: 52 after watching this with my family, wife and I both said we wouldve rather followed the young Sanderson sisters for the entire film instead of the adults by the end such disappointment with an outstanding opening
reply

I wouldnt count a mother-daughter casting as that incredible. They naturally look alike and know each others mannerisms super well already. Its the matching of totally unrelated hitherto strangers thats impressive.

Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Freddy Freeman in Shazam.
Freddy Freeman is basically a younger Seth Cohen (from The OC) so when they all get powers and the adult version is Adam Brody, I yelped.

Why were Lucy & Jenna lumped in the same spot when Jenna should have been top 3? While both were incredible, younger Jenna was SPOT ON with Jennifer Garner! Disappointing Miss Mojo.
reply

If you did tv shows, Orange is the new black would be up there. The younger versions of Daya, Nicky, Piper, Big Boo and Crazy Eyes are like mini versions of their adult counterparts
reply

The 1990s versions of Geena Davis and Lori Petty were amazing. If there was an Oscar for casting director, the casting director for _A League Of Their Own_ should have won it.
reply

Another Mention would've been Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson's Younger Characters in Bride Wars. The younger versions of them at the beginning of the film look identical to them! :)
reply

There's another one:
The teen version of Denise Richards' Paige Prescott's character in the slasher film, Valentine. The resemblance is uncanny!
Check it out.

All great examples, but worth an honorable mention would be Mara Hobel and Diana Scareid as younger and older (respectively) Christina Crawford in Mommie Dearest
reply

young Austin Powers and young Dr. Evil in the flashback from Austin Powers 3 Goldmember.
O'Shea Jackson Jr. playing his dad Ice Cube in Straight Outta Compton.

reply

Honorable mention: O'Shea Jackson Jr. played a dead ringer both persona and visually as young Ice Cube. (Since we were talking about parents, and children)
reply

The Adam Project kid looks nothing like Ryan tf and Lily James as Meryl and young Clark Kent aka young Henry Cavill in Man of Steel deserved a spot
reply

Probably weren't even born yet when we met the Sanderson sisters
Ummm. duh? It was pretty clear none of the young actresses were pushing 30.

reply

Hollywood made a HUGE mistake by not casting Anthony Ingruber in the Solo movie. I don't know who's running the show but that was a major mistake.
reply

Dang! They should have used that guy instead of the other one they used for the Han Solo movie. Maybe the movie would have been a tad better.
reply

How on earth did you not include Geena Davis and Lynn Cartwright on A League of their Own? You shown a clip but then didn't mention them.
reply

What about Jean Grey in the X-Men franchise? Is it me or do Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner look like they could be mother and daughter?
reply

I didn't like Rosie O'Donnell/Thora Birch casting. I feel like Rosie's personality is so different from the character that Thora plays.
reply

While not a movie, my favorite young to old casting is on Haunting of Hill House. absolutely stellar casting of the entire family
reply

I definitely thought the best part of the new hocus pocus was the portrayal of the young sanderson sisters. I was so impressed
reply

Dolores Claiborne, her daughter Selina, played as a youngster by Ellen Muth and older Jennifer Jason Leigh is so believable.
reply

What about Dottie Hinson in A League of their own? I have done a double so many times while watching that movie.
reply

Contact is one of my favorite movies! Have rewatched it at least a dozen times since seeing it in the theater.
