I don't wanna go over the 80's and earlier teen movies because i wasn't born at that time. But from all teen movies of the 90's and especially near the 2000's American Pie is only 17th?
I know Box Office success is not everything (AP is way ahead of all others Here) but i would say there are so many memorable scenes in American Pie nearly every kid of the 90's and 00's know. Apple Pie, band camp, Stifler get something like a brand, Finchs Mum and so many more. Not mentioned the other 3 movies of the main cast, even 13 years later the American Reunion Movie was as successful as the first one.
I think American Pie has to be at least in the Top 10.

I agree with all but Perks of Being a Wallflower. I really don't understand why people keep saying it was a huge part of our childhood. I loved the book but the movie didn't do it any justice whatsoever. You should have put Napoleon Dynamite in its place. That movie had a much better loved legacy and definitely defined our childhoods more. I remember thousands of people all over school and online talking about it whereas no one ever mentioned Perk's movie; only the book and even then it was mostly my sister and I and a few friends reading it.

I'm only as far as The Craft which is one of my favourite movies and it's not just recent years it has gotten a cult following! It's been at cult status for YEARS! Them making a new one doesn't make it a cult movie, it's the standard of the movie and acting x

I loved the trend of placing classic stories in high school, and giving them a modern 90's vibe. Easy A and She's the Man also did this with The Scarlet Letter and Twelvth Night respectively, adding a fresh take to a familiar story for the 00's and New 10's.

John Hughes was the Master of 80's teen movies. While some aspects haven't held up well, namely the causal bullying or homophobia, his films don't talk down to teenagers, treating them as real people with valid feelings and emotions.

The plot of Easy A is ridiculous. It wouldn't be a scandal for the protagonist to do what millions her age have done. She's 17, not 10. She lives in California, not Iran or Afghanistan.
