This is my list because as much as I love Riverdale these are the things that made the least sense to me with the established rules of the shows universe.
10) Archies red circle stuff.
9) The fact that they just expected us believe he survived a Bear attack with no weapons and minimal physical scarring.
8) Jughead surviving being beaten to death on Riot Night thing.
7) Jughead surviving being brained by a rock just because his beanie cushioned the blow.
6) Hal being the Black Hood in the first place (because that reveal never made sense given the Hal we met in Season One.
5) The whole Farm storyline.
4) The whole alternate universe Rivervale thing.
3) The fact that everyone including people who werent there got magic powers from the explosion that helped them survive said explosion just so they could fight Percival.
2) Jellybean being the auteur.
1) The Griffins and Gargoyles stuff.

I'm surprised this wasn't a top 20 list. I can't believe any part of season 6 wasn't in this. Apparently Hiram opening a hole in the fabric of space and time with a stick of dynamite causing the multiverse to collapse on itself and leading to an evil wizard crossing over from another dimension and trying to take over the world with the only thing stopping him being Archie and friends with their new magic superpowers culminating with them having to destroy a meteor which altered the fabric of reality causing everyone to now live in the 1950s wasn't enough to jump the shark.

So my things about the serial killer gene thing with Betty and Charles is that we know that it didnt come from Hal because its revealed by Glen that Hal didnt have it but Betty and Charles did meaning that for Betty it had to come from Alice and thats possible for Charles as well but what about the other half of Charles DNA? The possibility that it couldve come through FP is never even broached but if it had been we wouldve had to wonder if Jughead or Jellybean had the genes and given how crazy Gladys was that seems like a possibility.

The whole point of jumping the shark is that its a single moment everyone agrees on, and afterwords the show never gets better again. Once a show jumps the shark, jumping the shark again is redundant. The reason its not a commonly used phrase anymore is people have so many different opinions and rarely agree on official jumping the shark moments. The only two I've ever seen are _Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman_ and what the phrase was named after. Even _Game of Thrones, _ not everyone agrees with exactly when that happened.

Honestly the moments you mentioned seem pretty tame compared to the stuff that happens in later seasons.
The gang meets Satan, as in Louis Cypher (get it)
Cheryl gets freaking witch powers.
At one point, the gang manages to murder THE NARRATOR, who is apparently a separate being from Jughead himself
THE 8 FOOT TALL TELEPORTING DEER SKULL MONSTER!

I swear after the success of season 1 they were called the best ensemble on television as many new actors shined and it was Cole sprouse's comeback after many years. and how derogatory the arc has been fro this show to people saying its the worst shows ever made, i just feel bad for the actors now to go through these insane plots

the whole serial killer gene plot thread was the thing that made me give up on the show, it's pretty much the metachlorians from star wars. so being a serial killer doesn't stem form a certain state of mind or the background you hail from, it's if you have a certain blood strand

I had to stop watching after season 5, I just couldn't take the ridiculousness anymore. What about when Veronica and Cheryl start their own maple rum business out of a brothel? The idea that these teenagers just run this town like the adults have no say in anything is too much.

I tried, I really loved season 1. Luke Perry was on the show so I had to check it out. I tried to keep it going but his character balanced out the craziness. One episode is normal then the next is a cluster f of why and what moments. Nope. I can't.

When Season 1 did not make any in the list. Season 1 was the best. Season 2 started to go downhill but it had its great moments. Gryphons and Gargoyles? The Farm? The time jump? Aliens? Superpowers? What happened to you Riverdale?

the first season was actually good, season 2 and 3 were kinda bad, but I still enjoyed it unironically as a guilty pleasure, but season 4 is when I just got tired of it, and the nail in the coffin was the first half of season 5

The fact that Riverdale has jumped the shark in more than one ocasion really says it all. Seriously what's the show at this point? Cults, superheroes, organ harvesting, murders, aliens, alternate dimensions, time travel? What?

I LOVED season 1. It was absolutely fantastic. I just wish they didn't continue with it from there. It started going down hill from the start of season 2. I kept going for a few more seasons but I should have stopped after 1

Riverdale is like the television equivalent of Tommy Wiseau's The Room. The phrase, what were they thinking! barely even registers on the scale of beautiful godawfulness with which to measure such a work of art.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall during the table reads, if only to witness first hand the actors' reactions to the insane scripts that they have to recite. If it's not aliens, it's time travel or cults!

Do you remember when this show was a little corny, yet still self aware murder mystery which was wrapped up within the span of a single season? Neither do the writers!

Every minute of the show after the original Who Dunnit mystery was just insane. Reasonably entertaining, if you could follow along, but insane.

The writers of Riverdale look like they're playing Wheels of Fortune to decide which plot they should've brought each seasons.

The fact that there are AT LEAST 10 moments in which Riverdale seems to have jumped the shark says so much about this show.

We went a simple mystery teen drama to super god damn heroes. Now it looks like were going back in time to the 50s.

How many times can a show jump the shark before we start seeing the whole thing as just a weird, pop culture anomaly?

Me: there is no way that this show can get any more ridiculous than that.
