- Sarabi's sisters/Simba's aunts, Naanda, Dwala, Diku and Weena. Naanda doubled as Nala's mother at one point before they realised the incest problems and dropped this, and Weena was the sister of Sarabi in her concept name, Sheena.
- Lisaba was an elderly lioness in the pride.
- Nala had concept names of Nanda and Nadra. Nanda specifically was from a pride of all female lions who were looking for a male.
- Baasho and Banagi the hyenas, replaced because they realised hyenas were a female-dominated society
- Bobo and Kwashi were early versions of Rafiki, and he even had some nieces and nephews.
- Brond, Rego and Murki were concepts of Mufasa, Simba and Scar respectively. Murki was an orphan who was taken in by the pride. Rego once had a sister. Brond doesn't die and helps Rego to take down Murki.
- Fearless Buzz was deleted from Lion King 1/2, mentioned as dying by fighting off hyenas and commended for his bravery. Timon's dad was also cut from this movie.
- Chaka/Naba was going to be Kiara's brother, and Kiara herself was also named Shani and Ashia in production. Chaka/Naba is also rumoured to have a betrothed, Timira/Kirijah.
- Daabi, an aardvark, was in the cubs' friendship group and was going to have a one-sided crush on Simba, and she made Nala jealous.

really would've loved aladdin's mother being kept seeing both his parents alive(really loved her scenes/proud of your boy is such a great song and would've been interesting seeing how it'd go in king of thieves. :3) alongside the other deleted scenes and songs even if they'd have to rework the story for it, for the sequel to inside out think they should include other emotions, if the emperor's new groove got into kingdom hearts would absolutely love some of the deleted elements added to it(especially snuff out the light being yzma using heartless to control an ancient deity, the fujitas are pretty cool designs while with nala's group think it could've added a bit more to her and the other lions.

I like storyboards and I am also amazed at how many characters have been cancelled! I liked meeting some of them on this list like: the Aladdin's mom; those who were not necessary for me are: the characters of Bella's sisters and aunt, and Miss Cactus replaced by Jessie who is much better. I would not have liked them at all. I read once that they also wanted to add other characters as Simbaa's childhood friends, but in the end they decided to only Nala, and that Timon and Pumbaa were previously thought of as Simba's friends from the beginning, but then they decided that they would meet later after his exile

There is one character in this video that wasn't mentioned: in the The Jungle Book (1967, a character called Rocky was meant to appear in the vulture sequence, and was characterized as a near-sighted, dimwitted and short-tempered rhino, where he has a fight with Mowgli after accidentally waking him up and after the fight, Rocky and vultures sing him a song to cheer him up, Rocky was also planned to be voiced by Frank Fontaine. But in December 1966, Walt Disney decided to drop Rocky from the final film because he thought there was enough actions with the monkeys and vultures

I think Disney should at least put back in Proud of Your Boy in the live action Aladdin, I mean Aladdin does mention his mother in that movie. Also Aladdin originally had three friends but they were cut too. However in the Broadway adaptation of Aladdin, they put these characters back in as Babkak, Kassim, and Omar. They sing another song that was cut from the original film, High Adventure, that was also put back in in the broadway version. In the sequel to Aladdin, Aladdin: King of Thieves, they use the name Kassim(in that film its spelled Cassim) for his fathers name.

I kind of wish they kept Aladdins mother in the movie, and I wish they had her voiced by Kath Soucie or Tress Macnelle, because theyre no stranger to motherly characters, and theyre real voices have that sweet gentle calm motherly and understandingness that makes you feel better when youre having a bad day. Not to mention I was raised by my Mom and three sisters as a kid, because my Father wasnt around and he had to take care of his mother because she was developing Altzhtimers Disease and it just got worse. Sorry if I spelt it wrong.

Beauty & Beast would seem a little similar to Cinderella, if they would've gave Belle sisters. Inside Out is such a cute & adorable movie. Alot of these character could've made the movie better. Maybe Iconic but who knows. Disney needs to stop holding back on their ideas. How Nala rescuing her bro would be too strong but you have Simba actually killing his own Uncle. Now that was a little strong. Can Disney just take some risks for goodness sakes!

I think this is something Disney has kind of lost over the years, the ability to streamline their movies.
Back in the day, if a character served no purpose to the story or actively took away from what they're trying to convey, they'll be cut out.
Not every movie needs an animal sidekick or a useless sibling to pad the run time or add more plot threads. Just keep it simple.

Key differences in story and character development wouldve been entirely different compared to the final cut we got now. Some were rather interesting.
For example, Redfeather in Pocahontas being a wisecracking turkey. I can see why it wouldnt have worked as having him speak would be out of place for the animal characters around him.

I still think canceled Disney characters for several should at least get a spin-off and/or prequel movie treatment at least in a short length, doesnt have to be a main/major but still like an extended or lost media telling how it would have been as in What if, even if this would raise more questions or confusions

I definitely think that even though shes not seen, Aladdins mother could have been mentioned right after the reprise of One Jump Ahead and have it lead into Proud of Your Boy. Im not sure what the dialogue would be, but it should have led into that little-known masterpiece by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.

I think they ve done a better job without adding the pieces that they were thinking about or else these cartoons would be violent when it should be enjoyable so I m glad the way they had them done it's pleasurable and amusing you did very good job the way they are

Hans was going to have a previously unmentioned twin sister named Hanna as Santino Fontana and Laura Osmes worked so well together. But Iger demanded that Frozen 2 be changed deep into production, and Hanna got reconfigured into Raya.

I'm ok with them not keeping Aladdin's mom but I'm so happy they used Proud of Your Boy later in the Aladdin Musical. It's such a beautiful song and is one of my favorites.

I remember seeing somewhere that there was supposed to be a rhino with pure eyesight was supposed to be in The Jungle Book. I think it was in the bonus features of the DVD.

If I recall, the character of Redfeather was intended to be voiced by John Candy. However, Candy died before he was even able to record a single line of dialogue.
