Whisper of the heart is a painfully underrated Ghibli film, I also hate how people portray Seiji as a cheat in nearly every story I read. The guy spends half the beginning and previous to the movie borrowing books from the library that SHIZUKU likes just to get her attention.
He teases her but uses subtle yet sly ways to get her attention, he deeply admires her skill at writing and does care about her
hell, she's the first person he tells about going to Italy to study and even considers her wife material before asking her out
They are genuine soulmates and cute as hell to watch

Kind of surprised that Sakuta and Mai from Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl aren't on this list. I mean I don't want to spoil the movie, but those two show love for each other in some pretty powerful and sacrificial ways despite struggling to help Shoko resolve, her bought of Adolescence Syndrome. I mean one of the major conflicts of the film deals with a choice Sakuta has to make concerning Mai, and the lengths Mai is willing to go to in order to protect/save Sakuta from his guilt over this choice. That's a pretty powerful picture of love in my book.

You made the right choice for the #1 spot. Doesn't matter if it's boy's love it just tells the story of two teens figuring out their love how to handle the hard things they have to deal with while not compromising one another.

From Up On Poppy Hill is such a gem movie. Shun's speech is definitely something we need to hear and listen to now of all times. Seeing Whsiper of the Heart hear really makes me want to watch it. I recently watch Weathering With You, Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and Your Name and all were amazing.

The girl who leapt through time was one of those anime movies I discovered in high school and fell in love with. To this day it remains in my top tier anime movies, it's so precious.
Chiaki and Makoto's relationship with one another is so realistic and adorable to watch

Why wasn't Patema and Age from Patema Inverted on this list? I believe that even though those two are from different worlds, their love for each other is so strong that they're willing to do anything to save each other, no matter what it takes.
