Kate and Leopold is great, as is Cutting Edge. But nothing is better than Medicine Man, with Sean Connery and Lorraine Bracco. At least for us boomers.
A couple of even older Rom Cons starring Walter Matthau were: A New Leaf, with Elaine May, and Pete n’ Tillie, with Carol Burnett! Really worth a watch!

How dare you not mention the name of Hugh Jackman’s co-star in Paperback Hero! Claudia Karvan is a very talented Australian actress, just because no one’s heard of her outside of Australia doesn’t mean her name shouldn’t mentioned! Shame!

I love Kate and Leopold. I've seen it loads of times, as i have it on DVD and Bluray. It reminds me of Enchanted meets Pride and Predjuice.
It was also the film that made me develop a crush on Hugh Jackman(who stole the entire film.

Never heard of Really Kate & Leopold and The Cutting Edge are two of my favorite movies. You mean to say YOU'VE never heard of them. Your titles are always so smugly insulting. There isn't a film here I haven't heard of.
reply

Bonus points for 'About time' it makes excellent use of the song 'Il mondo' which has music from Ennio Morricone. Gorgeous. Also any movie that has eiger Domhal Gleeson or his dad Brendan is worth a watch.

I’ve seen several of these. I absolutely love Kate and Leopold. What’s Up Doc has been one of my all time faves since i was a kid. It was always a must see first date movie for any new boyfriend.

Austenland is AWESOME! I've watched it like 20 times.
But, seriously, who has never heard of Cutting Edge
Also, Liev Schrieber's character in Kate and Leopold is not the Duke's grandson.

Me, as a Brazilian, always heard about Just Wright and Imagine Me & You because a local broadcast tv sometimes streamed them in their programming. Also, About Time is very well known, I think

Kate and Leopold is a gem and I wish Hugh Jackman could have been in more romcoms because he did it so well. And About Time broke me in ways I will never recover from but it was so great.
reply

Great list! About time is a family favorite! Kate and Leopold is such an underrated gem! I LOVE the scenes where Leopold humiliates JJ over opera and French and the rooftop dinner scene.
reply

The Cutting Edge is my fave. To the point I’ve seen it so many times that I can repeat it verbatim! Another fave is PS I love You with Gerard Butlers an Hilary Swank.

Did someone think that in the movie Miss winterbourne that baby isn’t that lead actress baby what if that the real Miss winterbourne baby did they do a dna test
reply

I've only heard of 3 of these movies but omg some of these sound amazing paperback hero is definitely one im going to check out and that queen latefa one
reply

If Kate and Leopold is one of them, y'all aren't as cutting edge as you think. Not saying it was particularly GOOD, but it was certainly publicised.
reply

Amusingly Keri Russell later married a man who played Mr Darcy.
I have seen most of these, so clearly I am better informed on romcoms than I thought.

reply

About Time is one of my favorite rom coms but you should tread lightly if you haven't seen it. It takes a heavy turn, but it's a beautiful movie!
reply

I have seen Kate and Leopold, Paperback Hero and about time. All amazing films. I love the early Hugh Jackman before he started starring in Xmen
