As one of the most compelling characters on the Simpsons, Lisa has had some memorable storylines throughout the shows 27 seasons. Lisa Simpson: Resident of Springfield, sister of Bart Simpson and Maggie Simpson, daughter of Homer and Marge Simpson and part owner of Santas Little Helper. In addition to being all those things, Lisa is intelligent, a feminist, environmentalist and a vegetarian. She is a strong liberal, advocates for various political causes and stands with the Tibetan Independence movement. Above all, Lisa is only 8 years old

Antihuman had an article about what he noticed with Lisa Simpson after watching 629 episodes. A lot of Lisa storylines, including some of these episodes, are about Lisa being punished for her gift or Lisa being miserable. I have no idea why anyone, including myself, would care about The Simpsons when it reflects a world where girls and women need a man in their life to be happy. If the new female writers cared about making this better, we wouldn't have episodes like Bart vs. Itchy and Scratchy or Hail to the Teeth now, would we? But they should care! Every current female writer and all of the classic era writers of both genders should care about giving the The Simpsons audience a positive female representation and not just reserve it for the male characters. Otherwise, I might just assume that The Simpsons never legitimately earned the female audience it once had in my classic run. It doesn't really help that Marge and Lisa were the less interesting primary characters by design, and their voice actors don't even get that many voice roles outside of The Simpsons. That is saying something when even Maggie, the baby could be considered a more interesting female character than them. June 4, 2020, 1: 13pm

I'm glad that the episode where Bleeding Gums Murphy made the list! Like her I cried when he died. I also liked the episode where she was depressed and couldn't explain why she felt that way. I liked that it was also where Lisa and Bleeding Gums Murphy first met. My other favorite Lisa episodes were Lisa The Vegetarian, She Of Little Faith, and the Halloween episode where she got smitten with a vampire.

Call Hillary Clinton to place an order to the National Suicide Hotline ON ME, BUT:
Although her character AND it's almost 100% likely her voice actress IS of the Democratic Party- she, to me nearly always comes off smarter than that to me. My heart gets stuck on how her older version is. IF I ever were to write a fanfiction of Lisa- she'll be MAGA REPUBLICAN.

Lisa is by far the worst character in the show. She is too preachy, she cant handle anybody being better than her, she sabotaged Homers barbecue, she cut off the electricity to be able to look at stars, she almost got her crushes sister killed, not to mention being downright annoying. I may not be perfect, but honestly, how can anybody like her?

Ive just see it again and cried a lot. a teachers influence in a student is really big, and also painful when you have to live them behind and move on with your life, but you know they will always be there for you

When I was a kid I hated Lisa because she was too nerdy
Now as an adult I really appreciate how well written her character is
And because I ended up becoming a nerd myself

Lisa Simpson's catchphrase is: if anyone wants me, I'll be in my room.
(She's also known for her disapproving groan:
Ugh. And, her general indifference hinting remark: meh)

reply

They mention bart and homer having a catchphrase with out the mention of marge and maggie having one.
Marge - MMmmm (Annoyed grunt)
Maggie - Suck suck etc - Pacifier/dummy

I love the story of her and bleeding gums Murphy! And how she was an inspiration to him and how they inspired each other! That is such a beautiful and touching story!

What about the Michael Jackson episode or the episode when she's depressed and her mom tells her it's okay to be sad and not to try to be happy for others.

Lisa's Final Moments with Bleeding Gums Murphy will be not just my favorite Lisa moment of all time, but also one of my favorite Simpsons moments in general

Given homer and bart descended to becoming memes or brain dead. Lisa has been the most interesting character since forever, but more since season 8th

Jebediah Springfield's storyline and value won't be fit for nowadays cancel culture. Even for some harsh historical figures (politicians for instance)

reply

Oh Lisa. but wait she accepted the proposal from a guy who uses a cow in his proposal, is there more to this or am I missing something?
reply

The Bleeding Gums Murphy's death episode was heartbreaking in the middle, but heartwarming at the end. I loved that episode.

Regardless of these storylines, she's still got an irritating voice, annoying, pushy and debateably the worst character on the show

When I was 8, I was in love with Lisa.
Now, I'm leaning more towards Leni Loud and Mabel Pines, since they are about my age.

To be honest, is MsMojo even necessary? Because all these videos can just be moved to WatchMojo and no one would bat an eye.
