Stop glossing over certain things. It's not normal to marry a 13 y. o not even in the fifties. When you say a person found success with a certain woman they're usually too old to move on or have been married such an embarrassingly amount of time it's ridiculous or too expensive to marry again. Also, it's no secret that millions of people get and got married to get away from their parents or from their home town. To many it is a tool when they've run out of options

Sometimes I think Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland should have gotten the help they needed, and then married. They cared for each other so deeply because they understood how hard Hollywood was on a person back then, especially with the cruelty of the studio systems. I think, had that happened, the two could have finally found the mercy and understanding theyd always searched for in relationships.

What's the point of getting married 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 times? You'd think that after the 1st marriage ended, they would have learned your lesson: don't get married again! Why not just date people? At least if they just date, they won't have to worry about the high costs of multiple divorces.
