Good list, except The Note Book. Must add, An Affair To Remember, a movie remade 3 different times, the latest version with Warren Beaty and Annette Benning. The last scene of this movie is a tear jerker and arguably the greatest romantic scene ever. A list of 10 is just too hard to do. Casablanca is typically number one on the list; Wuthring Heights is typically number two, Tiffanys is number three. Meg Ryan series are some of the best (Sleepless in Seattle, Youve Got Mail, etc); Michelle Pfeiffer series (Age of Innocence, Frankie and Johnnie); Before Sunrise series turned out to be almost perfect.

Titanic should be number 1 because of its perfect cast, extraordinary performances, incredible cinematography and production design and background score and music. The screenplay was beautifully written and executed by James Cameron (and Randall Frakes. I have seen romantic movies and romantic comedies, I love some of the classic rom coms like Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry met Sally or dirty dancing for that matter, but Titanic hits differently altogether, I have seen such captivating, wholesome, heart-wrenching romantic film very rarely, Titanic is one of a kind, it has to be.

Punch Drunk Love is absolutely underrated, and masterful work of art by Paul Thomas Anderson. Adam Sandlers dramatic performance sells it out of the park!

This was a good list although I would put Sleepless in Seattle a lot higher, and I also love the movie Bed of Roses. Christian Slater oh, that was really good story. I'll have to think about other ones that I like but I've seen many on this list. I also agree Titanic should probably be as close to number one as possible!

Worst. List. Ever.
That is not even close to be the 10 best romance films ever.
I can't believe eternal sunshine of the spotless mind wasn't even mentioned.
And seriously folks, Titanic may be a very romantic film, but it's definitely not the best one.

I'm so upset The Apartment didn't make the cut. To me it's the perfect ending because it isn't something mushy It's genuine love and genuine love is not necessarily kissing and hugging but just being comfortable with the other person.

I'd love to add Joe Wright's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in 2005, same year as Brokeback mountain. Pride and Prejudice was just so wonderful, the cast, the cinematography, the score, music everything.

Casablanca is beautiful and deserves to be in the top spot. Notorious is another Ingrid Bergman classic, which I fell in love with.
