Fire Katy Perry and put Adele on the show. Make Adele the lead judge. And have Britney Spears as a judge. She'd be an amazing judge (just as she was on The X Factor. Britney has that personality and has accomplished so much in her time. And she's not afraid to say no or tell it how it is. She's the definition of Pop Star. She's the Princess of Pop. And iconic. To have Adele and Britney on the judging panel would be such an honor to see on tv every week.
And then maybe like Justin Timberlake and Madonna. Let's just put icons on the panel this time.

I think the list is good but I disagree with number 1. SPOILER.
This is a reboot( even though it hasn't even gone for long) and getting Simon back, will destroy any chance of American Idol chasing its reputation, getting a fresh start and convincing people that gave up on the show to give it another shot.
I think Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarks would be the two that fit the best.

Surprised not to see P! nk on the list. I've always thought P! nk would be such an awesome judge/mentor: she's tough but fair, emotional without being a everything sounded beautiful, she isn't a diva or overly theatrical so she wouldn't upstage the contestants or be grandstanding in her critics or on-set behavior.

While these artists are certainly qualified their names alone would take away from the show itself when it should be about the contestants. Katy Perry is already a done deal so it's late to get rid of her but she's still coming in with a huge price tag.

I'm sorry but we don't need anymore big celebrities on the judges panel get producers like Timberland. Rodney Jekinks. Mike Will made it. David Gutta You see what happened with Nicki and Miarah it took away from the contestants!

I was thinking lady Gaga would be a great judge but idk if she would do a tv show like that. Gaga would probably be writing music, touring, or acting most likely not on America Idol
