What do you get when you get a bride, her entourage of bridemaids, her mother-in-law, and zealous sales people in a room? Some hilarious moments and lots of clichs. Were taking a look at the Top 10 Things that ALWAYS happen on Say Yes to the Dress! The bride always tells us that her finance is the love of her life, a member of the entourage always tries to steal the spotlight, someone compares themselves to royalty, the brides parents always wants a different dress than their daughter and budgets are quickly forgotten!

I don't see how a bride can bring so many ppl at a fitting jus for herself, understandable if it was for bridesmaids etc. but I rather keep the group small, my fitting was nice and smooth, took an hour and a half. My mom and my 2 sisters accompanied me, my ideal was a black wedding dress/ evening gown, my mom wasnt so crazy about the look but I was opened minded to colors too like pinks, gold, even red and ivory but I found a affordable dress I loved that my mom was surprisingly supportive about too, it's black with a nude undertone

Shows like this fall into the reality garbage trap.
Manufactured drama with EVERYONE vying for the spotlight. The producers of programs like this want people with little to no filter who are willing to say and/or do anything that will grab attention (usually for the wrong reasons.

I'll admit I watch this show out of guilty pleasure, but will say these episodes are ridiculous. I would never bring an opinionated group with me. nor would I even sign up for a reality show like this.
But I will say the episode with Joan Rivers was flat out hilarious. XD

In clips I have seen the brides that try on the dresses look amazing in almost all of them. I don't get how the entourage can be so against the dresses. I understand if the dress shows off too much but they could be a little nicer.

The bride says she's super picky and looking for the one in a dress, then picks the standard blank, strapless, sleeveless white gown we've seen a hundred times, stands in front of the mirror and sobs, and says it's one of a kind.

I've dealt with EVERY SINGLE TYPE of these customers while working in David's Bridal as a stylist. Not to mention, they ALL mentioned watching this show before going there to shop for wedding dresses. -_-
reply

I HATE the ones where a bridesmaid tries to take over and basically try to make everything about herself. It isn't your day and the bride is allowed to wear whatever she wants so BACK OFF!

Yessssssss oh my god I legit binge watch say yes to the dress even though it annoys me sometimes because the enterage are such idiots and always be rude and irritating

You forgot Randy always walks into the dressing room saying Hello, Beautiful! Pretty sure he doesn't bother to even learn names and just calls everyone Beautiful.

I always wonder whether the camera person is a male or female. I mean wouldn't it be uncomfortable getting undressed n dressed in front of a stranger guy?

You missed the biggest thing. The veil changes everything and magically everyone who was opposed burst into tears and fall in love with the whole package.

Hearing the point of someone wanting to be compared to royalty reminded me of a bride on the show who wanted to dress like Sarah (a former consultant)

Can you guys do a Top Ten Female Characters from Star Trek list? That franchise has lots of super awesome ladies who deserve more attention.

What about when the bride is so excited that the designer( usually Pnina) shows up they purchase the dress even if its ugly or over budget.
reply

It is my understanding that the show's producers chooses the entourage. (Which makes sense from a TV show point of view)

Seeing how many dresses look like a table cloth I start thinking that US grannies own quite the luxurious table cloths!
reply

We w9der how they can afford the dress pretty sure the show foots the bill. other wise why would they do the show. lol
reply

Everyone wants drama, and the entourage delivers. MsMojo, you have exposed the sneaky secret behind this show.
reply

They compare themselves to royalty
Princess dresses are just a style of dress, not comparing to royalty.

Is there some law that mandates bridal gowns have to show 3/4 of a woman's breasts and have no sleeves?
reply

My stepmom constantly watches this show and I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to send her this video
reply

TBH I only clicked on this because I saw Rebecca Crow in the thumbnail. but I do binge-watch this when able
