One of the coolest things about these shows to me are the creative teams behind them. Legion is being helmed by the guy who wrote the show Fargo, and Runaways is by the creators of the O. C. and Gossip Girl. Seeing these studios understand the the storylines in comic books can appeal to more than comic book fans is awesome. This is going to expose new audiences to so many fantastic stories that might even point them back to the source material. Love it!

I am necro-commenting on this, but Runaways also had the only young, relatable Jewish characters I'd ever seen/read as a kid, to say nothing of her being the only overweight girl character who got to be a leading protagonist and a love interest. .and also an old movie buff and have dyed hair and get a dinosaur best friend, which is a weirdly specific venn diagram intersection of all my interests growing up. God I love Gert.

Hope they both A. stay as true to the comic as possible but also B. update things for the modern decade when it comes to Runaways. Social Media was just barely starting to blow up in 2009 when it ended, so I think it would behoove them to do some tinkering. They could take example from something like Gatchaman CROWDS as far as updating is concerned

I'm still curious to learn how Runaways will be handled, continuity-wise. One of the team members is a mutant, which 20th Century Fox has the screen rights to. Will she be an inhuman in the show to get around this? Will it be considered a part of the MCU or the X-Men cinematic universe? I haven't read anything about how any of this is being handled.

Ohhhhh i'm so excited for the runaways show, I hope it's decent. it was one of the first big comics that got me into comics, and nico minoru was my first comic girl crush. Xavin was the first genderqueer character I ever saw in media and it was super formative both identity wise and storyteller wise for me as a Young Gay.

Would you consider doing an episode about how different authors affect static characters and the pros and cons of the variability (as an excuse to talk about how bad that captain america writer was, you know the one?

I read The Runaways when I was in a really dark place my sophomore year of high school, and I have to say I'm super excited for the show on Hulu!
