I struggled with Gotham, tbh. I liked it, but I also didn't like it. The first season was plagued with typical detective show shlock plus the drama was turned up to 11, and I couldn't tell if I was supposed to take it seriously or laugh. The only thing I liked was seeing -Jake- (the kid from the show about the little boy who could only communicate with numbers) and Penguin's arc. I'll have to give the comic a shot!

Why are people always thinking Gotham is connected to Gotham Central or The Dark Knight Trilogy? Seriously, where do y-all get that from? Gotham is its own interpretation of Batman-s Backstory, and sometimes, changing things is good, otherwise everything would just be the same, Gotham isn-t Gotham Central or The Dark Knight Trilogy
Also, I hate how people just judge something before watching it

Uuuummm I just found this video and currently Gotham is on its last season and ever since it-s been a great show and I thought you were saying why you weren-t going to watch Gotham not talk about the comics, its a show not completely relating to the comics it shows a story about the cops, the villains and how they became what they are and lastly how Bruce becomes Batman

Okay ur argument was very weak. Gotham Central is NOTHING like Gotham. Sure it focuses on Gotham without the Batman but it focuses more on the villains and their development and stories over anything else. Also yes, season one was a mess but it gets progressively better as it goes along (season 5 is hype rn. I would recommend picking it back up.

Its actuallylly pretty good and I have read that comic. But lets be honest just like comics every comic is different some have batman dressed different some have different artsyles and just like gotham its a different tale and look to what we know and yes batman is my favorite superhero.

It's a lot better in season three and four seasons to start with because it is starting to do Batman now then before did and now you can have a reason to see the t. v. show now different from before and now they are going fast with Batman that you wanted to see them doing with the t. v. show

You never even said anything about Gotham you just talked about Gotham Central the title is -why I'll never watch Gotham- not -I liked a comic book as a child and since this isn't a movie Batman story I will not watch it because I like comic book-

Thank you for making this. Because of this, I have started Gotham Central and, while I am a fan of Gotham, I feel that the first book for Gotham Central does the idea a lot better and I feel that Gotham Central would make for good TV.

You don't know what you're missing. Zsasz is hilarious. Season four Ivy is really good. Penguin and Riddler convos/relationship on screen is great. Also really like the show's take on Firefly. Want to see more Scarecrow too.

I watched 3 seasons of Gotham, i hate it as a show, i hate it as a part of DC, and I hate it as a story. It-s just a huge mess of nonsense and inconsistency. At this point, it has absolutely nothing to do with Batman.

Gotham is one of the best comic book based tv series! It is in it's own universe and maybe it has many alterations compared to the -original- storylines but it has created it's own path in a great way.

ik the death of bruces parents has been portrayed many times, gothams adaptation made me actually cry. Gotham has an amzing plot line and amazing actors. Gotham is gotham. not a gotham central remake.

Gotham is not trash tv, it's a good tv show that references batman comics but it's its own canon. The character development is good and you see them (actually) grow into their -final form-.

I went into Gotham, like I went into halloween 3. Just pretend it's something out of the series a bit and enjoy it. The purist all hate it but it's a great show or at least it is to me.

Well you're missing out because Batman isn't the suit, Batman is Bruce Wayne. And the show really has been focusing on that.

I really like Gotham cause it doesn't tell the same old stories over and over again. Also it has the truest representation of Gotham City in the live action Batman medium.

Gotham show is ass sauce. I stuck along for 4 seasons because me and my friends would recap and laugh at how trash it was but even that stopped being fun.

I actually think Gotham is a fantastic show and Iove the characters and actors so I think she should try at least one episode and see what she thinks
