Titanfall completely re-imagined multiplayer shooters, Titanfall 2 completely re-imagined Titanfall.
Each had weapons and abilities that actually changed how you think and play at a base level.
The maps were designed to complement gameplay (it didn't feel tacked on at all, unlike a certain other futuristic multiplayer shooter.
As a fan it's gutwrenching to see that Apex Legends was the one that (somehow) sold copies.
Especially when the first two games were forget-to-breathe-every-match amazing.
(I'd still reccommend Titanfall 2 if you live in the US or EU where playercount is higher, I'm sure it'll come on sale)

TitanFall 2 is fun to play, quick to learn and way better than people think. And yeah, the single player ruled -maybe a little too short- and i still play from time to time.

PSA from someone-s who-s been playing Titanfall 2 since launch: please experiment with weapons and load outs other than the cloak/spitfire combo. Do some of the weapons have steep learning curves? Sure, but trust me when i say very little compares to grappling across the map and popping an enemy with a Cold War

EA may own a few studios for -development-, but you have to remember they are a publisher at their core - they've never been apologetic about the way they behave with ANY IP they support (even ones they created Day 1 themsevles. Nobody should expect them to change their attitude now.

I actually didn't know TF2 existed a few weeks (couple of months) after launch. I did enjoy TF1, but it lacked some form of engagement. It's a shame TF2 didn't do well but Apex Legends saved the day. But I don't like Battle Royale, so skip!

I can't be doing with Apex, but I'm glad Respawn are getting the shedload of money they've earned. I hope they eventually use some of it for a Titanfall sequel; the T2 fanbase have been doing -work- pimping out that game for years now.

I'm honestly not a big fan of battle royale games as a whole, just not by cup of tea. However, I rather enjoy playing Apex from time to time becasue it's a pretty good game, and after playing it I really wanna buy Titanfall 2 now.

also, the Titanfall 2 playerbase nearly tripled after Apex was released! It's like it reminded people how good TF2 actually is: )
I bought it in 2017 when it was already kinda dead. Seeing this resurgence has been awesome!

Minor nitpick, but I think CoD Blackout did swapping guns while keeping attachments first. As an aside, Blackout was super underappreciated, in part because of its pricetag, and I'm really sad to see that's it's more or less dead.

It was a clear decision, probably thought through meticulously, to kill titanfall 2.
Respawn made its best to keep apex clear of EA's rotten finger, and made success.
EA is a plague in the game industry and needs to die.

I've recently jumped into Titanfall 2 and it is one of my favourite games of this generation. The campaign is great and the multiplayer is incredible. It's very difficult to go back to Apex.

It was also at the peak of the -Boots on the Ground- resurgence. Bought TF1, lack of content and player base made me skip TF2. Couldn't care less about SP.

Just finish TF2 Campaigne mode and can say it is the best 1st person shooting campaigne of the last few years.
The only problem is that it is too short.

Titanfall 1 was the true masterpiece IMHO. Verticality, an audiovisual feast on part with ILM sound design. Fast paced action. Dynamic combat.
