U have a pretty good strategy. But I found a easier way. First u need the ring of luci no potions required but I used Mega Phoenix and magitek boosters now for strategy-wise you basically warp to a rock on top of a rock actually and you use the the death ability for the ring where drains the health and if you use the potions you basically don't have to get off the rock but if you do run out of MP, you simply have to do is run off of the Rock then warp back on to it because it will fully give you mp back now the reason that you're mostly On Top of the Rock is because it is much safer On Top of the Rock and you can kill him pretty quickly with this strategy.

Don't know if this helps anyone so late after release but I was able to cut my time in half after realizing I could warp from rock to rock using Noct's Death/HP drain attack with the ring constantly. It drains your MP but every time you warp your MP is restored. I figured this out when it's life bar was just over half after smacking him with a great sword for 45 minutes. The drain method took the last half in about 15 minutes. I was at lvl 61.

This boss kinda sucked. Barely did any damage with extremely dodgeable hits. Can't use pistols, if you warp strike you fall back to the ground and die because it's so high up, can't reach the thing to consistently hit it, AND I got permanently stuck inside of it's arm several times after warping.

There-s a quicker way to beat the adamantoise. Just buy 100 ether, 100 magitech booster and use the Ring of the lucii. Stand on a distance where you are safe and just use the ring on him. Once you-re at half of his life bad he-ll die automatically because you-ve sucked the life out of him.

I somehow defeated it in 10 minutes or less, a time went down and after the mission was complete. I dont know what happened but I also somehow went under the map and kinda glitched so. Idk, can someone explain why this happened to me?

I DONT CARE WHAT YOU SAY THIS IS THE WORST BOSS EVER CREATED! THIS IS A JOKE! It is boring and time wasting. Usually when you attack a boss it is satisfying with huge squirts of blood, these hits dont even make noises at all!

Easiest way: Equip Noctis with the Ring and spam Death spell going from warp point to warp point to recover MP when empty. Took like 15 minutes at level 73, and no health potion!

Final Fantasy went downhill after they did away with the turn based combat. Such a shame. One of the greatest franchises of all time and now, not so much.

Pro tip use the magitek armor you can have cid build use the ring and teleport from mp builder to mp builder and you're good

I used the ring (Ring Of Lucii) the whole fight, got him to half HP and then it just disappeared and it counted my kill: D

It took me 8 hours nonstop to defeat this, but it took that long because I was definitely underleveled.
