Tighter Tighter by Alive and Kicking sounds a lot like Piece of My Heart by Janice Joplin. One one hit wonders you missed was Union Man by The Cate Brothers from the spring of 1976. I once heard that Gary Coleman, aka Arnold if Different Strokes played the percussion on the Cats Brothers song.

The Edison Light House and First Class have a connection. Tony Burrows is the lead singer. He was a one hit wonder 5 times. United We Stand, My Baby Loves Loving, Give Me Dat Ding were the other 3. Thom Pace and Maybe was the theme for the show Grizzly Adams.

I recently found out how to add custom music to my Sims games. First one I added was Born To Be Alive. Never gets old, especially the line, I never wanted all the things that people need to justify their lives. Kind of ironic, given the game I added it to.

I love the annotations, if I may call them that, that celebrate these artists' successes in songwriting and production. I would add an annotation to Johnny Bristol, who error and produced among many other hits Someday We'll Be Together. He's legendary.

Even the bottom of the barrel songs from the 70s are better than anything I've heard these days. Just goes to show you how music is no longer as important today as it once was of course disco duck sucked then and sucks a duck today!

Looking Glass had a minor hit with Jimmy Loves Mary Ann after Brandy, You're a Fine Girl. A disc jockey (at KEZY 1190 AM) told me that he had gotten a lot of requests for JLMA. I only heard him play it once.

BS that Brewer & Shipley were one hit wonders; I’ve been following them 72 bc of J. Garcia. I have at least 15 LPs of them. Both r still alive & play private venues. Many great songs!

Wow, the memories. I worked in a shirt factory during the lady 3 years of the 70s, and these songs played all day. I could really turn out production when the good dongs came on!
