People Rescue A Mama Osprey After She Gets Attacked Wild Hearts Rehabbers are SO much better than vets. Rehabbers are non-profit, have the same goal as you (healing the animals and then releasing them back into the wild) and understand that without kind humans caring enough to turn in the injured animals they find, there would be a lot more suffering out there. I volunteered for one that would accept any animal, pest or not, and treated them all the same! I just go straight to a rehabber when I find animals.

I find it very strange [speaking as a former senior nurse] that the vet nurses said they couldn't give info out. It's not human records and there's no fear of being sued by the bird.
These are the people who found the bird and know the situation [with the babies etc. ].
It is good that some of the team gave a live feed and updates and there was a happy ending.

I don't get what was wrong with the vet giving out information. Is there a HIPPA on disclosing animals' cases If it's not to disclose the rehabber's information, couldn't they've asked him if he was okay with talking to the family who brought the osprey What would he have done with it if he didn't know there was a family waiting for their mom
reply

I'm no expert but what possable harm can they cause giving an update once in a while to the worried rescures they should be reward for doing just a beutiful thing and helping the Osprey alot of people would probably be to scared to help it or would film and go about their day absaloutly redicules anyways very glad it worked out

Fortunately the rehabber was so cool after the vet tech had been such a jerk. Fortunately the rehabber totally understood how the bird would need its babies and mate just like the babies and mate needed the mom. What a cool family had such a cool osprey family by their place to watch.

That vet is evil and has done many bad acts to animals. Vets are very happy with their needles. I hope she did not inject anything or give any vaccine to the bird, to dirty its blood with toxins. It goes to the next generation and wildlife is clean from toxic medicines.

Such a touching narrative! Amidst the often highlighted negativity of humanity online and in the news, it's truly refreshing to witness such goodness. Many thanks for sharing this, and immense gratitude to the family for their remarkable kindness.

cover the bird's eyes PLEASE and stop talking to him/holding it! we're GIANT predators to them; the best thing you can do is put them in a dark quiet place (securely closed box with air holes) while transporting/holding them overnight

This was totally wonderful, thank you all so much for caring so well for your Osprey family. What is wrong with that Vet though, fancy them deciding not to tell you what was happening to Mum. Still a happy ending, wonderful to watch.

Eagles harass Ospreys constantly, trying to steal the fish the Osprey are successfully hunting. Sometimes, the birds hurt each other.
Thank you to the family for being so observant and helping the mother bird immediately

My parents live on the water and have an Osprey nest, my mom decorated the entire house with Ospreys it’s a bit crazy lol! I loved those birds so much I have one tattooed to my back, they always remind me of home

Thank you for saving her. I couldn't stand those vets who wouldn't let you check up on her. I appreciate the rehabilitater. I'm so relieved there was a happy ending. I am not sure I could've handled any other endings.

The vets office were not very nice. It could have been handled so much better with just a couple of phone calls & some common courtesy. so happy it turned out good for everyone. Thanks to everyone for sharing your story.

I have been dealing with a lawyer’s office that seems a lot like that vet’s office. Stonewalling, unhelpful, and I am paying the bill! (Venting here. Anyhow, you did awesome family
reply

That vet sucked. Absolute Karen trash. The identity of a professional rehabilitator is in no way private or protected information. She had zero humanity or empathy, less even than the birds.

I'm not a Vindictive human but when it comes to Animals. I must Spit talk & HOPE that Vet office is closed for business
Hallelujah for this Positive outcome! Animals are AMAZING

Id like to know if they returned to the nest the next season or if they decided it wasn't safe anymore. Im watching this again after a year or so.

Some of these Dodo videos are real tear jerkers & this was definitely one of them. But I'm so happy Momma Osprey was reunited with her family.

After seeing the Texas vet who shot cats with her bow and arrow, I’ve never thought of vets the same way. Some are just horrific people.

Eagles attack Ospreys especially when the osprey has caught a fish and is coming out of the water to carry it to dry land to feed.
reply

Such an beautiful story. Tugs hard at the heart. Blessings on your whole family, and on the extended osprey family

I live here. They didn't put the nest up. Our tax dollars put the nest up. Im tired of fake videos.
reply

I don't understand why everyone's so angry at the vet. Y'all know they can't just doxx people, right
reply

I love a happy ending; it’s nice how the whole family’s come together to observe those ospreys.
reply

Do you think maybe she was just stunned and prob would have been fine if you just left her alone
reply

This was the best video ive seen in a long time. So glad the mother was able to get back to the nest.
reply

Why the vet refused to give them updates is beyond me. Well done family for persevering
reply

the bird not going straight to the nest at end must be the most anti climactic thing ever lol
reply

Who'd have thought that Santa moonlights as an osprey rehabber on the off season. huh.
