This man is a Saint! You could hear the terror and desperation in his voice for this little dog he didn't even know. Thankfully he caught him. But I wanna know how the story ends! I'm going to choose to believe the dog was fine, the guy found the owners and they were wonderful people who were so grateful to have their pup back and they all lived happily ever after. The end.

He didn't spot the dog on the highway. He chased the dog onto the highway, while screaming his lungs out. He should have stopped chasing the dog. He freaked the thing out. It wouldn't have kept running at full speed for that long if he wasn't being chased by a screaming maniac.
Would any of you stop for a maniac screaming and chasing you. I find this horrible to watch.

If you decide that you're going to be a helper in life your reaction times are quicker because you don't have to ask yourself if you should stop and help. Just something it's taking me a long time to learn.

In Germany he would have been prosecuted for driving on a highway (Autobahn) with his bicycle, and walking. That's not allowed and chasing a dog is no excuse. Better a dead dog than a dead person is the reason for this law.

Actually. The hole save the dog, if the dog didn't fell on it it will still runnin' like crazy soo. Thank the hole for its kindness and its there when the dog runner cause trouble(whos the trouble maker)

seems like the wife is the hero here, getting ahead of the dog and herding him off the road. The man's yelling and chasing only made things worse and scared the dog faster, farther.

A good heart, OK story, but you could have added ALOT at the end: pick up the tired pup, show him, get some water, calm him, and even an attempt to find the owner.
