Where the heck is the mom In the second rescue. (Even the first one they seemed to go farther down the shore when putting baby on land, then showed a shot of mommy back where baby was stuck) If they leave baby without mommy she/he will not survive

Moose are not the most intelligent creatures or this mama would not have put her baby in this danger. On the other hand, that is possibly her first calf and she is experiencing a steep learning curve.

This was on shorts a couple of days ago, the mother actually stopped the guy in his car and led him to the baby, he spotted the boat and borrowed it for the rescue, try to find the clip, it's amazing.

Very nice. But did anyone make sure that the mother took the babies back Helping is great but handling the young like that can cause the mother to abandon the young due to our scent on them.

Its wonderfully weird how these men were at the place just at the right time, to save this little baby. I wish we had a way to know when animals were in distress so we could help all of them.

We had a local patriot shoot a mother moose because he felt it threatened him and his daughter. My neighbors took in a baby moose and raised it but one night a bear came and that was the end.

I'm surprised the mother moose didn't reject the baby because of the human scent on her body. Either way it would have died in the water, maybe the wet masked the human scent.
