Golden Retriever Thought The Baby Stuff Was For Him Kobe just made my day, at first needy, stealing things that he thought was his. the moment Danielle was born, hes excited, attentive to his little sister, must stay close to her at all times, no matter if she cries, hell comfort her, which means he cares and loves her, but whats cute, he stole her bootie (socks, HA! Kobe is gonna be the best big brother and buddy of little Danielle when she grows up.

I’ve never had a dog so this is a genuine question: Do dogs naturally care for human babies like this or are they trained in any way before delivery to cater to babies (i. e, Fetch blankets/toys when they hear crying) I’d love to believe it’s 100% in their nature but something tells me the parents also train them to be of service when they need it. Thanks ahead for any answers received!

I love how as much as they love the dog that they were smart enough to protect the baby upon the first interaction. With the dog being so jealous it could've gone wrong, a lot of times parents end up having to get rid of their dogs due to them snapping at the baby.
Now, the one thing I didn't like is the dog licking all over the baby's face, that was disgusting.

This is how my sister’s dog Zeus acts with my niece Freya he just loves her so much he will just let her crawl all over him but he has to be where she is, on the other hand my dog Cola is very jealous of all the attention she gets when we watch her and Zeus once to twice a week he takes his toys away from her but he does love her when she had food of course.

Unfortunately, we didn't have our Golden girl when our children were babies, but we raise miniature goats and now when we have a bottle baby this is how she acts. She'll lay in front of their kennel, always has to interact with them when they're out running around. Goldens are one of the best breeds there is, imho!

It is so endearing to see a dog take responsibility, simply because they feel they should.
Sure, it will always be a challenge for dog to figure out a baby, but they do their darndest.
And of course he is gonna run off with stuffed toys.
You cannot blame a dog for behaving like a dog.

When my family adopted a dog, my little brother still had to use a car seat when he was in he car. If we ever brought the dog somewhere with us, he would sit in the car seat if he got in the car before my brother did. I also forgot to mention that he happens to be a huge dog.

because parents pay attention to their dog companion, that's why the dog is protective of the baby instead of barking, biting or not wanting to share toys
good on the adults for paying attention to their dog while having a baby unlike how many bad owners treat their pets

This is precious. Thank you for not giving up your dog because you found out you were having a baby. Soooo many people say I have to give up my dog or cat because we are expecting a baby. Kobe is adorable! What beautiful footage your little girl will have when she gets older.

Saw this adorable short of a mini dachshund napping next to a bassinet and the baby started crying the pupper climbed in to cuddle calm down the baby, i don't know whats cuter: a large dog helping raise a baby or a little dog that can sleep next to the baby sooner.

Golden retrivers make good pets, they are not only trustworthy and outgoing but do always try to please their owners
Kobe is such a sweetheart, he loves his family and is trying to get involved in, whenever he can to look after the baby.

A family of four. that is actually a key point. If you get a Golden banish the word 'pet' from your mind. This is an adoption of a family member. Note how both the dog and infant perceive each other as family instinctively.

So cute! I was a labor nurse and i would always give the babys used hat to mom and dad so the puppy at home could smell the new baby. and yes I would also provide a brand new hat for baby to wear in hospital

Every dog always follow you what ever you do, if you let him. And retrievers are specially friendly and depending. So every single retriever would do this. Such a waste of time watching this

Everytime I think about the Man who had to have his arms and legs amputated because his dog licked him, I get really nervous seeing Kobe (or any other dog) locking a baby's face.

A good idea to bring home a blanket from the hospital that the baby has been swaddled in so the family pets are already used to their scent when they come home from the hospital

He's a cain of Labrador. They know this stuff! They are protector and gardien of children. We have to give them a nice space next to the babies.

We did this with 2 Great Danes, Grandma (me) was very nervous. But my girls the Danes are really wonderful with baby.

The way he raised his brow when she asked Are you snuggling with your baby
He was like What does it look like I'm doing

My female dog has a big mother instinct and nesting behavior. I know that will come up when I have my baby.

Maybe it is just me but I feel that every child should grow up with a pet. They teach you unconditional love.

My niece is going to be born today and I just hope my dog has such a wonderful relationship with her.
