Nobody Could Touch This Very Aggressive Dog Until After my eight year old standard poodle passed away, her buddy (chow/lab) who was left behind became really depressed. After about two months of him moping around, I decided to try to find him another buddy. I went to the shelter where 2/3 of the dogs were pits or pit mixes which I didnt want. The staff member who was with me seriously brought out every single dog and my boy would put his hair up and turn his back to them. The very last dog (a malinois shepherd) who I kept passing by because she would viciously growl and bark from her kennel finally came out. As soon as she came out she got really timid and scared. My boy strolled right up to her wagging his tail and said YOU are my friend. She came home with us and lived with us for the next 12 years until she passed. Shortly after her my boy passed away too. It was not from loneliness though as by that time we had another standard poodle living with us as well.
Some dogs can act really weird and out of character when in a shelter environment. Im glad that I decided that day to at least have her come out of the kennel. Im not sure if she would have gotten adopted.

When I was younger my step dad brought home a dog who had been absolutely tortured by the people who owned him
Everybody kept saying he should be put down due to how aggressive he was
Me and him would get into just absolute drop down savage fights. I got scars on my throat and face from him trying to tear out my throat, I got scars on my arms
I mean the fights were brutal because he just kept lashing out and being absolutely violent
I got a scar on my eye lid, if his tooth went further I'd have lost an eye. Got a slash over my nose.
But eventually after one final fight he just gave up or just accepted things. Moved him out to my grandmas farm where he got fat from her over feeding and had fun diving for rocks in her pond and stuff
Eventually passed away from cancer at an old age with a horde of stolen buckets and containers stolen from my grandma anytime she went to feed her geese an sat them down

A Malinois in a rescue. sigh. Such a beautiful, intelligent and sweet girl. Such wonderful dogs WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE, with the wrong people they end up at the rescues. I’d sure love to know the recipe for stopping indiscriminate and unprofessional breeding of protection dogs. I rescued my German Shepherd/Malinois who was owner surrendered for being too energeticduh, THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE! Energetic, protective, strong, gorgeous, highly trainable. I adore my girl, best dog in the world. Thank goodness this beauty ended up with the right people. Wonderful rescue outcome

fear aggression if not treated through proper behavior training like seen in this video will eventually turn into real aggression and that is what we don't want, food will overcome all canine emotions andd that is how you start and then adding a play element and turning it into a game is where you want to get to, remember that in the end your appropriate behavior is the best and most powerful reward

It’s hilarious cause as a man I’d walk in that cage and play with that dog for 2 minutes and it’s a wrap the dog was acting like that cause your sitting in a corner with food being a weirdo. That is not a normal thing to do is sit down when you meet a dog. You’re a human act like one, we are not less than dogs in any way yet emotions cloud hierarchy. Get real

So basically you are saying is that this is FEAR REACTIVE agression and not just AGRESSION. Using the wrong words to classify the beaheviour is really damning to the dog. Beacausea a huge amount of agressive dogs are actually fear reactive. And especially when they are inside their pen, they have 2 options, shut down/submit or act out. (fight or flight)

Thank you for taking time to help her. I truly believe all the doggies in the world deserve T. L. C ( tender loving care, the time, patience and love they need to show how loving, kind and healthy protection theses dogs do have within them selves. Thank you for giving this heart beat the kind love she deserves.

Thank you so much for giving her your time, Malinois are such a misunderstood breed because of their drive & ability as protection dogs that they very often get euthanized through no real fault of their own. You saved her life & for that your a real hero.

Kindness and love go a long way with dogs. for that's what they really crave from humans. Well, a few chicken nuggets don't hurt either. She is absolutely beautiful. I'm so happy she's in a great place now where she can enjoy her life!

Using food and talking in that silly high-pitched voice is the completely wrong way to go about this. You are rewarding fear with food. I suggest you watch a few videos of Caesar Milan to learn a bit more about how a dog's mind works.

Wow! Amazing that he is accepting you. Which remind me of my current German Sherphard and Belgian Malinois mix. She won't let any one other than my family member pet her. I would never ever give her up no matter what happen.

There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a scared and withdrawn dog finally be able to let go of the fear and start really enjoying their life. There are so, so many that need help.

To the idiot that disrespected the United States flag, go learn proper flag etiquette. I am an OIF veteran so yes I’m more sensitive when it comes to noticing these things.

Thank you for working with me and giving me a second chance of life and giving me a forever home also and and I hope you can keep us updated on how everything is going

She's not aggressive, it's a Belgian Malanois, they are trained to be military working dogs. Smart and always in need of a mission and it's to protect and be loyal.
reply

You can see it in her eyes, she’s so terrified of humans yet she wants a connection. This incredible woman teaches her not all humans are scary
reply

that was a female Belgian Malinois you were working with: high strung and very sensitive but great dogs once they bond and feel secure.

This is a dog. a gift to humans from Mother Nature. We must help and give a wonderful life to each dog. A man without dig isn't a man
reply

Can this be covered by mainstream media If 500 to 1000 people contact them, they will investigate and cover the story, don't you think
reply

She’s a Malinois, Im surprised she’s in a shelter, these dogs are extremely sought after by the Military due to their abilities

Animals don't have souls. Aggressive dogs are usually a product of their environment. Others have an aggressive temperament.

Thank goodness we have so many caring humans. I am such an animal lover, and to watch this beautiful dog just blossom.

I love dogs a lot more than I like people.
People are the reason that dog was scared.

What an altruistic job this women/couple did, to hand over this dog to another family.

Wonderful, and a shining illustration of how importance patience and understanding are.

dog is the most loyal animal of the earth.
A person can cheat, but a dog never.

reply

What the they have the American flag on the floor and letting the dog be on top.
reply

You’ll never find a dog more loyal and that loves you as much as a Malinois.
