Alot of comments about the reserved reply of the owner. Honestly, some people just don't express a lot outloud or publicly. If you look at the actions, she's reacting normally. She reaches out for the dog immediately to catch, holds him like she cares (embrace, not side-swept or luggage like) and her call of bad dog! was said in a soft way, as if she were about to cry or laugh.
The dogs parent was just restrained and quite possibly had gotten the emotions out off camera before actually getting to the meeting spot.

At least you spoke the universal language -read as: water. After you gained his trust -wth didn't you just take him with youyou can manage to handle a bike with one hand if you stay in second gear. if you ever come across a similar situation -don't tie a dog up. then leave if a rattlesnake came across their space -they'd be a goner.

Im divorced. I got a standard chihuahua from a co- worker. He found homes for the other pups, but couldnt find one for him. I fenced in a good sized section of my yard, open back door out we go for potty and or play time. Some people just don't care. Id go crazy if my fur bsby got out.

I could not agree more. Obviously, they will take their collar and leave Max somewhere else. Please keep in touch with this family to make sure this poo r fur-angel will be abandoned again! You were So naive. Poor Max with his tail wagging and far does he know the sad tale awaits!

Happens all the time. I used to rescue dogs. They bring them out in the country and dump them. A dog cannot survive, like a cat can, let alone flea and ticks etc. God always finds someone to rescue an animal. He loves them too! After all, he created them. Bless you, guys.

Our terrier would disappear for days crazy dog used to go about 5 miles to a house with other dogs there. In the end my dad and the lady agreed Tinker could stay with her, two days later she turned back up! Loved that dog.

I think it would have helped to approach the dog with the helmet Off! And of course he was initially scared. Two dirt bikes chasing him!

I’d be absolutely devastated to lose my dog and I’m sure the people who own this dog were frantic and have been looking for a long time. I own Jack Russells.

Owner is indifferent.
And rescuers just leave the dog to go get a car instead of one of them staying there or at least take him with them!

She did not seem to excited to see max it must have been really far away from home. My son said maybe they dropped him off out there. People like to do that a lot

i've rescued cat and dogs that were lost before and by far I get so much more emotional when the dog gets reunited than cats do. lol
