Woman Finds The Most Adorable Thing Hiding In Her Closet I know no one here will ever believe me, so help me god I found a young opossum in MY CLOSET just a few weeks ago, He was buried inside a folded up spare blanket on the floor. My dog started going nuts in the middle of the night when I was asleep so it must have moved. I got up and let dog out of the crate and she went right to it! But here is the thing. I have literally spent hours upon hours trying like crazy to figure out how on earth he got in my house! I absolutely never, ever leave a window or door open, ever. I have an attic but there is no access to poutside, and even if he got into my attic, there is only one pull down door to my attic and its in my garage. I even checked my dryer vent but it has a screen on the outside that was in tact. When I let my dog outside, I literally stand at the door and open it for her when she goes to potty and when she comes back. No way in the world the opossum slipped in then. The only thing I can possibly figure out. and it seem sooooo impossible, is that the little guy somehow got into my HVAC duck work (he is quite small) and walked through the duck and up to one of my vents and pushed it up and crawled out. Now I checked all my vent covers and they were in place, but its possible he could have pushed it up enough to get out and then it fell back into place. But I see no holes in duckwork. though maybe he literally got into my unit. I just dont know. obviously its driven me crazy so if anyone has any ideas, Im all ears! ha

Aww. I would have fed her some food and water who knows how long she was stuck in there. poor mommy. They don't bite, they do that just to scare away danger. Sometimes babies fall off and get lost if there are too many. I wouldn't have been able to kick her and her babies out, I would have let them stay and fed them and made a kind of living area in a big box or closet or something and if she wanted out another day I would let her, but keep food around outside for her. I wish something like that would happen to me. LOL. That's just me, I love little critters. I have a little brown adorable hopping mouse that comes into the cupboard under the sink(I noticed the rat food bag had a whole in it) so I started leaving food and at 1st I thought it was a chipmunk because it took nits and seeds but it ate other stuff chipmunks wouldn't eat and then I saw her/him and it was so cute, a little round fluff brown ball that jumps. It can't go anywhere else in my place so it must be going under somewhere, I don't know. lol

I wish we had more possums where I live. The ticks are even destroying the moose population. with the help of global warming. It stays warm much further into the autumn, so the ticks are killed off by the cold. This means that the newly birthed moose get so many ticks and for so many months, that the ticks actually kill the moose by taking so much blood. It is horrible. Climate change deniers helping to kill another beautiful species.

wow, that's crazy, that's a big old pass with a lot of babies, what are you guys, at least I better just don't want you to put your finger in that passing math and I want you to buy it, pick it up, throw it outside and pick it back up on your floor and put in your mouth, and it won't budge

My Siberian husky catches possums. You should send him in there. He would have had it in a heartbeat.
He has never killed one. They really do play dead, and it's no fun anymore if it's limp and not struggling, so they've always gotten away.

Sorry but this is a great example of what not to do when a while animal enters your home.
Always call a trained professional. It’s literally the best thing for the animal’s well-being.

What do you do when you find a possum in your closet You give it food, of course! First thing food because you want to build rapport. Once food is involved everything else will be easier to do.
reply

It’s crazy that this woman didn’t think to pick up the bag it was in and put it outside. I’m glad she didn’t but why remove it from the bag lol.
reply

Am I the only one who thinks the possum growling is adorable or what I'd call it gator lolol so funny. Possums are harmless aren't they
reply

Watching the babies cling onto their mums back and her walking around with so many of them on top of her is just so cute!
reply

I just have to say
There was one possum at my school and some random girls just went to it and AAAAAAA

reply

Fun fact possums may scare you but that's all they can do. Many animals rely on scaring potential predators
reply

That's so cute, (except for how terrifying that is) but she needed a nice and cozy area to have her kids
reply

Cute but scary How in the world did the possum's not only get into the house let alone the closest
reply

Ive always found them adorable honestly. And they eat a lot of pests too. Good little possums. :D
reply

Possums key defense is pretending they are dead. They hiss a lot, but are pretty easy to manage.
reply

they can't get rabies and are much cleaner than cats or dogs, and also rarely if ever bite
reply

feed them, id feed them and give them a drink and have all round the next day, probably lol
reply

in all honesty if I saw a possum god damn it I'm bringing it inside gonna be my friend now

When Mama realizes the human thinks her babies are cute, her face totally changes. 1: 00

opossums are not dangerous to humans at all lmao, all bark no bite literally
reply

I'm glad you didn't actually swat her with that broom. They are so damned cute!
reply

I wish our residents had settled in our yard. They would have been protected then.
reply

The women screaming prolly more annoying then a random possum in your house
