World's Most Adorable Badger Comeback Kids No offense to anyone, I appreciate what you guys do. But the indoor outdoor enclosure should have been brought up before you figured out that she wasnt releasable. It just doesnt make any sense to do it after she should have been out there trying to do that stuff even at night. Sometimes, when youre dealing with animals that you feel may be a little too close to humans. They may need that little push or that little encouragement to go out there. I mean, they feel a little abandoned. And name maybe I agree with you at some point. But its for their own good. Again I do appreciate what you do I feel like there should be more people in the world like you and if I could do it personally I would but unfortunately I live in a HOA neighborhood and I swear they are like nazis! Keep up the good work

I once was told by my mother she saw a program about a rescued badger whwas like a devoted, little dog and didn't want to go back to the wild. Mother said she didn't expect badgers to b3 do effectionate. I told a person with a video about their badger. 5hey were so snooty, and talking about hating to burst my bubble that I didn't even have, and said they aren't devoted. But the documentary showed this badger following its rescuer everywhere. The person arguing with me said she can't stand bad documentaries like that. I blocked 5he person after they were so presumptuous. Documentaries with footage that proves its point can't be bad. I love your badgers

Wonderful to see love for badgers! In England, they're seen as danger, as so many farmers and others say they spread bovine TB. I'm not sure it's true and wonder if it's about building on areas of woodland. There are So many being hunted, it's sad. Our wildlife and their environment should have a right to exist, and it's a joy to know that so many rescuers and rehabbers make such a difference worldwide

Her life has purpose. Wonderfully apt isn't it I hope Billie teaches EVERYONE how important Badgers are. And how they are NOT nuisance animals. NO animal is a nuisance. It's us foolish humans that are the problem. But in spite of that we are also the solution. It's humans that have the ability to take action to preserve the flora and fauna of this world. And I know we CAN do it.

I always think ppl who rehab animals especially specific animals should get a costume that looks like the animal that way there is no problem of humans imprinting on the animals and you can love them all you want just have to dress up in the costume. And thats only if they rehab specific animals unless they do a bunch and want to get a bunch of animal costumes lol.

I think all animals down to ants are way more intelligent then we give them credit for. When you see animals as individuals a whole new world of interaction opens up. They are unique and have preferences like we do and it just takes meeting the right one. My sincerest thank you for being a good steward for these precious gifts.

when ever you have a animal since it was a baby the law says you can not release it into the wild because all the wildness is gone because we stepped in and raised it since it was a young one that it should have been with its mother learning the ways of the wild
reply

This woman should not be an animal rehabilitator. She raised that badger like it was a chihuahua and wondered why it imprinted on her. Very selfish and truly a disgrace to real wildlife rehabilitators. If you want to raise something buy a dog or cat.

I had no idea America had badgers! Wow! They are sooooo cute. Yes i see all the warnings but that doesnt stop this lol
So England has badgers, usa and so does south africa. South african badgers or 'honey badgers' have attitude for days lol

Billie might be traumatized by suddenly living in an indoor/ outdoor environment away from her humans and friends on a daily basis. Seems counterintuitive since she is bonded to her human and a predominantly indoor lifestyle.

Rehab centers should not treat animals like pets. Rehab centers should be more like the ones in Africa where they really rehab animals and help them be successful in the wild. I can tell the animals here are treated like pets
reply

What you're doing is good but it's best to let the animals be unless they're actually injured Feeding them only to realize them into the wild will leave them without hunting knowledge, they'll be too dependent on humanity
reply

Yes wild badgers will end you so respect them. Billy is different because of very loving constant human contact since she was a baby. It's unfortunate she couldn't be released but that is just how the cookie crumbles.

This is why I love dogs. When you get away from the CLASSIC DOG, and start going into the Bear Infra-order, you get some cool dog-like carnivores like weasels, that then give us badgers and raccoons and red pandas.
reply

Very cute! Once refuge near where I lived use to hide food for every meal (tons of work though) so that the wild animals didn't link the food to the caretakers even though it must have had a human scent on it.
reply

Badgers are wild animals and should be respected as such. Only experienced rescue people should look after them and rehabilitate them. Thank you for rescuing those little darlings
reply

Wait, what the heck happened at the end with the enclosure Did they build it so she could go play there or are they going to leave her there that seems kind of cruel
reply

THIS is why the Creator, OUR MASTER directed us to be the caretakers of HIS creatures. Absolutely all of his animals are capable of learning to love and care for humans.
reply

It's so weird since I don't understand how Coatis and Raccoons are the same family, then you see a badger and you can kind of see the connection to the weasel super family.

Met one sneaking out of my chicken coop with a chicken in his mouth. I asked if it was his and he literally dropped it and wandered off. Very polite actually.

My wife is so mean I couldn't find anything meaner, so her nickname is the badger. Married over thirty years now, soo yeah there's that.
reply

Wild badgers will attempt to kill you. The odds are in their favor, despite you having the size advantage. Do not approach wild badgers.
reply

really what did u do to wild her up pet her and then you expect she could be released after adapting to hang around humans all the time. hmm
reply

She chose to keep the badger. An experienced rehabber know how to keep animals from forming bonds. This isnt fair to the animals.
reply

My question is: does she know how to use a litter box Because we have a rescue raccoon who knows how to use a litter box lol
reply

All the mustelids are tough and agressive but I guess this one will start reading and sitting at the computer soon.
reply

It's clear this badger is raised by humans and is one of a kind. A badger in the US will tear you apart.
reply

1: 35 I'm gonna report you to HR
I cringed so hard at that I almost got a hernia from it.

reply

now this guy is cute but scary because if it wanted to it could eat a body bones and all
reply

I'm confused. How can u be needy and independent at the same time That's contradiction
reply

If this badger didn't make you smile at least once you probably have a heart of stone.
reply

after watching a badger documentary this has my heart racing all the way through
reply

Wait do badgers usually sniff around Or is that because of a dog's influence
reply

Good food, good friends, loved, spoiled and cared for - who needs the wild
reply

Wait till she is older, she'll be digging holes in your floor, and badgering you.
