I think she knew her litter were actually cats because of the tiny meows and different scents, she just needed puppy-sized baby creatures to care for so she could feel better and still have something to love if she couldn’t have her puppies. You could have given her baby chickens and she’d still be complete. Similar to how a mother lion who miscarries/has preemies that don’t make it will nurse an orphaned newborn antelope calf (or any cub-sized baby animal) she finds

Animals are amazing, when I was kid we had two dogs that had puppies at the same time, a German Shepard and a cockapoo, the Shepard had 11 puppies and the cockapoo had 2 and both died. She was so sad, so we took one of Shepards puppies and gave to the cockapoo, she raised it as her own. We kept her puppy and it was funny to see a small dog cleaning the Shepard's ears even though he was a fully grown large dog.

Wait I don’t get it. Why did the babies perish Humans can be born a week early without any problems. Hell, that seems to be the norm. People are born _before_ their due date.

animals are pure in a way we left a long long time ago. they only exist in the now and have no hate in them. only love and wariness of strangers. once they feel a comforting hand they don't forget. they are just perfect and beyond beautiful. and to all those who work to help and save animals you are doing the work of a saint. thank you

Gumball was the favorite because Gumball was the first kitten introduced to her when she first met the kittens.
Edit: also, she waited to introduce the other two, so she had who knows how much time with just Gumball at the beginning of their family relationship.

Would not surprise me if Gumball had something internal that was a little weaker then normal, nothing that would cause any major problems, but enough that Milo smelled it and was all ok kid, no going crazy like your siblings!

This is ridiculous. Some people although well intentioned, get their human feelings in the way of nature. These kittens didn't need a dog mom. They needed a cat mom. Some people should not own pets ever.
