Magpies are extremely intelligent. If they feel safe and well fed around a human, it is no surprise they keep coming back and act accordingly. The girl is kind, but it is only the magpie's decision to stay.

Pie and her human are wonderful together. A lovely friendship. I hope she brings her young for a visit. My mother had a special relationship with Cardinals and they returned to her with their little ones.
