Please, Please, PLEASE! Will anyone who is going to do a video on Harry Potter, do their homework before reading (or writing) the script!
Seamus is pronounced SHAY MUS, not see mus - it is an Irish name.
Now I know that a lot of Irish names don't look exactly like you would think they are pronounced (Siobahn, pronounced SHA VORN, but I DO find it disrespectful of the topic (or infact, the Irish) that you do not research these things before putting the video out! And it is not always a name. I have also heard Dobby pronounced DOUGH BY, and a Boggart pronounced BO GART.
I don't know why, as I have NEVER (so far) come across this in ANY other movie topic videos, but the voices on HP videos are always mispronouncing things, names, etc. Has anyone else noticed this?
It is not as though you cannot find the correct pronunciation if you view a few clips of the films!
P. S. I am neither Irish, nor am I what you would call a Potterhead (though I do enjoy the books and the movies. xxx
