the real story is based off of eros and psyche
eros is cupid
psyche was very attractive and all the men in the village wanted her for her beauty but psyche knew that they only wanted her for her beauty one day aphrodite tells her son eros to make psyche fall in love with a beast but he was astonished by her beauty and decided to keep her as his wife but he said you must never see me or this marriage is over so psyches gold digging sisters told her to look at him while hes asleep she did and was also astonished to what she saw then candle wax dropped off of it on to eros chest he flew away telling psyche the marriage was over so psyche told her sisters to basically jump off the cliff the true her self the god of wind (totally forgot his name lol) sends psyche to aphrodite tells her to get a box filled with beauty so she does and on her way back she thought maybe eros will fall back in love with me if i take some beauty this was all apart of aphrodites plan she put some death thing in it because she knew that psyche would take some of it and put psyche in a coma eros got very angry and took psyche back to the palace (totally didnt mention it but thats where the candle shit happened) when psyche woke up eros showed her his true form and they got happily married the end

You know the person who wrote the original story beauty and the beast which is Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve is a relative of mine, and she is a relative on my moms side of the family and moms name is Suzanne. I know that does not prove anything but Im not lying.

Distrubing? Hardly disturbing. I was thinking it was a gruesome story, not about arranged marriage. Sure, arranged marriages might be wrong, but it's been part of human history since the dawn of civilization. It's nothing new or secret.

There was an old version, I think the 1970s - poor made for TV, extremely low budget. They beat Disney to the entire New Concept.
