The disturbing true story of Disney's Aladdin. The Disney movie, Aladdin is full of colorful, funny characters singing catchy songs as they fly around on a magic carpet. Its a highflying tale of romance, magic, and adventure. But whats the real story behind this classic folktale? There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Disneys remake of the animated story of Aladdin. But will Disney learn from the mistakes that they made in the past? This story has been around for centuries. But you will be astonished to learn how the story was created in the first place. It seems Aladdin, and all of the Arabian Nights, or One Thousand and One Nights, folktales were told as a desperate attempt to save the authors life. We were able to uncover some pretty messed up facts about the real story of Aladdin. Youre not going to believe racist song lyrics Disney was forced to change after the animated films release

the fact that you don't even do your research properly and don't even read a Wikipedia page at the least is disgusting. you're making it seem like 1001 nights was written by Shahrzad (this is the correct way to write the name) but infact 1001 nights is a complication of very old stories and Shahrzad is actually in the story. Also the king wasn't randomly killing women. He had gone mad because he was betrayed by his wife and Shahrzad wasn't forced to marry him. She asked his father to let her marry him so she could save all the other women from being killed. This video is completely racist but somehow masks it's racism.

This video taught me that arabian nights, written by 9th century Arabs, was really a modern feminist narrative, as proven by that being the interpretation and totally not wishful thinking of some random woman in the modern day.
I also learnt that we're living in pretty good times if it's considered horrendous racism to have bad guys speak in an accent (because the Sultan was apparently a bad guy) (also apparently Jafar and Iago have Arabic accents) in a movie.

Wanna know how I got here, my overthinking/curiosity, I was watching modern family where they had a talent show, then I searched up Carolina in the morning which was made in 1947 and had aladdin mentioned in the song so I searched up when was the Aladdin story (may 8 1709) which was oddly specific, then I came here to hear the real story

If the Disney princesses are all blonde & blue eyed then ethnic groups complain, if they are ethnic, then Disney is racist! Disney should just stay true to Walt's vision & not try to appease all these groups! ( I am of Native American descent btw.

In the Live Action Remake from 2019, we hear in Arabian Nights:
When you wander among every culture and tongue
It's chaotic, but hey, it's home.
No longer barbaric.

Why can't you leave the characters alone? At times fantasy world is the only way to escape the harsh realities of life.
