Ways in which the PLL books and movies are different. Pretty Little Liars might have officially wrapped up in 2017, but the mysteries live on. Did you know that there are plenty of Pretty Little Liars novels out there that actually came out before the books? And they arent actually the same as the TV show. So if youre missing out on your regular Pretty Little Liars fix, you might want to grab the books. From adding some characters and removing some, to completely changing the storylines and even revealing one of the biggest mysteries ever, these are the 20 differences between Pretty Little Liars books and TV show. Did you know that Ezria wasnt as big in the books as it was on the TV show? And that Alison was the real A all along in the books? And that theres no Caleb, and that him and Hanna arent dating? And that except for Aria, Hanna, Spencer, Alison, Emily, and Mona all look different?

Hanna cares more about popularity in the books than she does in the show
Spencer had a much more difficult relationship with Melissa
Emily's mom is a racist making her (Emily) relationship with Maya too difficult
Hanna cares more about her friendship with Mona
Hanna also tries to ruin Kate's life in the books
Spencer doesn't feel guilty and isn't sorry for having a relationship with her sister's boyfriend
Not all the liars look like Victoria's Secret models
Meredith is way more nicer in the books, tbh
That's all I remember lmao

Thank goodness they put Caleb in the movie I mean seriously he's like the best bf in the world he would have gone to jail for Hanna I would want a bf like him.
How could they kill off Jenna and Toby they made the movie much, much better and more interesting. I'm so glad they made the movie how they did.

Darren WIlden is NOT a creep in the books, he's actually a nice guy, and a confidant to the girls. He also ends up with Melissa. Ian is also not a creep, and follows more on the Garrett storyline. Also Ian, Jason, and Darrin are friends, and there is no Garrett.

I have just started watching the show.
4 episodes in and it already is confusing.
Emily and Spencer, I always mix up.
I feel like I should start over.
I also want to start reading the books, but that will probably make me even more confused.

Ezra leaves for Pennsylvania. rosewood is in Pennsylvania? And this is like a horrible video. You cant even pronounce dilaurentis right so theyve obviously never seen the show considering her disappearance is the whole show. Also cant say Wilden.

I really love this show!
The fact that the book is totally different from the show I really like it because it's like I reading two completely different stories.
Is anyone else who agree with me?

In the book's each time the girls would get a new A tormenting them the game would usually last about a month to three months where as in the series, it would last about 9 months to a year!

sasha pieterse (the actress who plays alison) actually said in an interview that the producers were going to go with the twin idea but instead brought alison back to rosewood.

wait no it says in the video hanna got sent to the institution because of her eating disorder but she was sent because of the whole ali thing. ummmmmm
reply

She clearly doesnt know much about the show, she pronounces the names wrong, and she says wilder was a good guy, he wasnt at all.
