Disney Theory: Moana Is The Little Mermaid Backwards

The Moana movie is basically the same story as Ariel The Little Mermaid but in reverse! Bradley: The Little Mermaid, Ratatouille, How To Train Your Dragon, Brave, and Moana - Everyone of the protagonists besides Toothless wants to do something that their father forbids (forbids since they want to prevent the deaths of the protagonist, the protagonists father, and several other characters) and then allows. Whatever the protagonist wants to do is safer than their father initially thinks that it is. The protagonist fails and then succeeds in convincing their father about that and getting their way. The protagonist is an outcast though when trying to go against the wishes of their father and their friends. For starters, Stoicks story of forbidding and then accepting peace with the dragons kind of reminds me of Tritons and Djangos stories of forbidding and then accepting peace with humans. Making peace with the dragons is Hiccups fault kind of like how making peace with humans in Ratatouille is Remys fault. I think that that is like something in The Little Mermaid and that making peace with humans in that movie is Ariels fault. Meridas story of disallowing Fergus to kill Elinor when Fergus tried to kill Elinor with Elinor in Bear form reminds me of Hiccups story of disallowing Stoick to kill dragons. Stoick, Fergus, and Triton are the fathers who think that their wives were killed by the animals, or characters who these fathers forbid peace with. These fathers initially try to kill these animals, or characters at least, or especially because of their wives deaths. Stoick thinks A dragon killed Valka. Especially to avenge Valkas death, I will kill the dragon who killed her. I will also kill other dragons to save the lives of Vikings from dragons. That is especially because of Valkas death. Fergus sees Elinor in Bear form without initially knowing that the bear is Elinor. Fergus thinks This bear killed and ate Elinor. I will kill this bear especially to avenge Elinors death. Triton tries to kill humans at least, or especially because of Athenas death. Stoick and Fergus think wrong though while Triton thinks right. By that, I mean that humans killed Athena while Valka and Elinor didnt die. I dont know what the deal with Remys mother is, or what Django thinks of that, or anything though. Also, I heard that Tuis story of forbidding and then allowing going out on the ocean is kind of like Tritons story of forbidding and then allowing going on land and to the surface of the ocean water and stuff. Maybe, Athenas death Story is kind of like Tuis friends death Story in that case. Luckily though, Sina doesnt die which Tui knows. There are some theories that Moana is The Little Mermaid backwards though. Moana is a land princess who wants to be out on the ocean. Ariel is an ocean princess who wants to be on land. Unlike Stoick, Fergus, and Triton though, Tui seems to not plan any deaths here. Django might not plan any deaths either. He might just forbid making peace with humans. At least everyone of the protagonists besides Remy and Toothless is someone whose parents are married to each other. Hiccup tells Stoick not to kill dragons and that dragons are not dangerous. Merida tells Fergus not to kill this one particular Bear and that the bear is Elinor. Ariel tells Triton not to kill humans and that humans are not dangerous. At some point, Stoick and Fergus realize that their wives are alive.

No
Moana actually has culture, moana is a hero & is helped to save her island(& tbh has way better singing)
Ariel is basically about her trying to get to a man cause she's in love with him (seriously, love first sight, forbidden love? Bad consequences) Soo basic

Their nothing wrong with falling in love with and still be strong and independent and for your self and still have a boy friend. It's doesn't make weak it just means you have a love interest. It doesn't make you weak. It still strong.

Ariel wasnt necessarily destined to rule her fathers kingdom, she could have just been his favorite. She does have other sisters and Ariel is the youngest. Youngest arent really the first in line unless other wise for some reason.

I hate Moana and I love Ariel don't like thethings theories so I'm leaving a dislike they just keep dreaming most of what they say is right or makes sense The Little Mermaid is a hella lot better than Moana
reply

These two girls are not the same. Ariel left her family for dick, while Moana also knew she was risking her life, but to save the ocean, dont ever disrespect Moana or Montunoui again, period.

8: 58 - You can't say the 1950s?
10: 49 - Before the 1900s? Disney was created in 1923! Did you mean the 1990s?
People from the 1900s, as you keep saying it, still exist.

When the things said when Ariel runs away after her dad destroys all her human artifacts I think she meant Ariel swims away after her dad destroys all her human artifacts.
