When you take too much Alcohol and saw or read the series thn only you can give this type of theory. In prophecy there was a line that voldemort mark him as his equal. Voldemort never mark longbottam as his equal. He always mark harry as his equal. There is another line in prophecy where it clearly mentioned that he has the power which lord knows not. Which clearly refers the fact of being accidental horcrux of voldemort, harry got some power of him which he wasn't aware of. Can u plz tell me which hidden power longbottom have? And lastly harry, hurmoiny, ron, longbottam even dumbaldore also destroyed horcrux does that mean they all are choosen one? Loongbottam didnt knew about the horcrux harry told them to kill nagini. And longbottan didnt even know he destroyed a horcrux he just wanted to save ron and hurmoine from nagini. The whole war of hogwarts just happened for voldemorts intention to kill harry as he choose him as his equal and whom he believed will the reason of his death. For destroying last horcrux longbottam wasnt proven as chosen one where everything is happened for harry. And in book voldemort died because harry was the real owner of elder wand and death curse again rebounded on the only soul of voldemort which his body have after all the horcrux was destroyed. So harry was the one for whom voldemort died. There is no other chosen one. No offence to Neville longbottom i love his character but it will be injustice to harry if you doubted his effort and capacities of being the chosen one.

Neville being the chosen one is fun to think about, until you actually think about it. everyone seems to forget so much. look at the prophecy. as the Seventh month dies will be born a child that the dark lord will mark as his equal. even at a cursory glance the dark lord chose Harry and marked him to be his undoing. Looking even deeper tho how was it done? Snape was his right hand man. he heard the prophecy and fearing the dark lord would kill the potters he begged for him to spar Lilly. maybe thinking with her child and husband out of the way he'd have another chance. or maybe he really just couldn't stand to live in a world where Lilly wasnt. anyway. the dark lord agreed. Lilly wasn't going to die that night thats why her sacrifice was so powerful. she didn't have to die and she chose to in order to protect her son, saving Harry and giving him the mark and the horcrux (a power which the dark lord didn't know he possessed) which was key to defeating the dark lord. look at longbottom. if the dark lord chose him he would have died. his parents were insane by this time. and tho he had his grandmother, there would have been no sacrifice cus the dark lord had no reason to spare her. the potters would have lived but Harry wouldn't have been the chosen one and the dark lord would have had a greater chance of winning.

No Nevilles parents were tortured after the night Voldemort was defeated by Lilys protective aura, not the same night. They spared Neville because the targets were always his parents. Also Neville was a pure blood not a half blood. Also the mark is pretty crucial and Neville doesnt even have a metaphorical mark. The most critical part in Harry killing Voldemort was the elder wand. Because it belonged to Harry all along it could never harm him and so Harrys expelliarmus spell caused Voldemorts a Avada Kedavra to bounce back just like it did when Lily saved him as a baby. Lots of holes in the theory that Neville was the chosen one.
But I think neville is still important. Harry represents explicit bravery but Neville is implicit bravery. I think all their similarities show that had Voldemort not been around, Harry and Neville could have switched roles. Neville was raised by just judgmental grandmother and we know Harrys dad could be a bit of a bully, while the long bottoms were genuinely all around kind hearted people who probably would have a raised a more confident son.

Harry Potter killed Voldemort. Harry's the chosen one. Yeah I know Neville killed nagini the last horcrux. It neville had been picked to be the the chosen one, I don't think he'd make it past too far, remember he was not good at magic in the first movies, if he made it past Quirrell, he (I don't think) would make it past the basilisk or a werwolf, and definitely no be able to purduce the patronus, at that age harry did. All the reasons Neville is NOT the chosen one:
1. The Dark Lord will mark him as his equal. THE LIGHTNING BOLT SCAR!

3. In the books Neville killed Nagini way before the final duel between Harry and Voldy.
4. If Neville was the chosen one then the books would be the Neville Longbottom books, but they're not so.
5. Harry destroyed 2 horcruxes, Dumbledore 1, Ron 1, Hermione 1, Neville 1, Goyle 1. Harry destroyed the most horcruxes.

If Neville would be the choosn one he could not go so long because the Snape told Voldemort to not to kill Lily and on the snape's word Voldemort asked her that she can go but the Harry must be kilked. but Lily refused on her own wish and sacrificed herself which killed Voldemort by his own spell and Harry survived. But if Voldemort had choosen the Longbottoms the Snape haven't requested to save Neville's mother and she would not given the option to survive and Voldemort would kill them both.

It could have been Neville or Harry but it was Harry before they went to get the prophecy Snape was a death eater and Peter chose Harry himself by showing the location of Harry because they didnt know about Neville yet becasue Peter sas friends with James and Lily. Then Voldemort marked Harry and made him a horcrux and gave him powers. Plus because Voldemort gave Harry part of his soul they could see each others mind or point of view without being there

2 points are overlooked: Voldemort needed harry to get the prophecy, but prophecies can only be held by those who they are referring to. Also, Dumbledore knew the entire prophecy and he knew it was Harry Potter the whole time. Oh and third, Voldemort never directly hurt the Longbottoms Beatrix did. Harry is the chosen one, he is even a horcrux. Oh shit, and Voldemort choose Harry as his equal as per the prophecy. So 4 reasons I guess lol

Snape was in love with Lily and he protected Harry throughout the whole series, who would protect Neville? There are so many reasons why Harry is the chosen one and absolutely not Neville.

The prophecy stated that Voldemort will mark this person as his equal. He marked Harry as his equal making Harry the chosen one. Also30st and expeliramus? Btw, Harry did kill Voldemort as he used the elder wand against its master which ultimately killed him. Harry was the master of the elder wand as he disarmed draco.
