I, myself have a lot of questions after seeing the film the other day and I do relate to some of your questions i think.
Regarding the voice calling Elsa I really feel like its her mother, the queen Iduna, because it is shown at the part wherein she saves the king, she hums the tune of the voice. so I'm thinking that even though they are dead, Queen Iduna's spirit can still somehow connect with Ahtohallan or the elements since she has this special connection with them. the wind spirit kinda like let them escape in the first place since it also helped her in hiding on the wagon. and that Iduna can call out to Elsa seeing that she is ready to take her place as the 5th spirit. Elsa later on discovers that the voice was the call of Iduna from memories of the past, and that her power was a gift from the magic of nature because of Iduna's selfless act of saving Agnarr, making her the fifth spirit who unites differences. Elsa then wields her mother's mantle of the fifth spirit.
For the spirits. the wind spirit or Gale was proved to be one of the more difficult characters to visualize for the animators, as wind does not have a physicality to it. Early visual development portrayed Gale as an ethereal being. Eventually, it was decided that Gale would interact with leaves, sticks, and debris to identify itself. But then maybe the earth spirit or the giants are really just many in number because they like form rock structures or mountains.
How the king and queen ended up together is still a blur but. then after escaping, Iduna became a resident of Arendelle, then she and Agnarr became acquainted. However, Agnarr never knew Iduna was the one that rescued him, nor the fact that she originated from Northuldra. so Iduna kept this a secret due to the clashing between their people.
Regarding the being queen one, the official website of Disney just said ''They became acquainted and eventually fall in love and marry, making her the queen and having two daughters. '' yepp okay then hahaha
Because of Idunas selfless act of heroism, the spirits rewarded her by gifting her first daughter, Elsa, with magical powersthe ability to control ice and snow. Iduna was unaware of the origins of Elsas powers, but nevertheless accepted her daughters uniqueness. Probably because ice and snow can take form of air, water and earth since its solid but not really sure for the fire part. probably because ice is stronger than fire.
At the end probably Ahtohallan became Elsa's sanctuary kinda like her ice castle before but this time she feels free and can definitely feel it is where she's meant to be.
So these are some of my thoughts.

1. Elsa probably didn't know how to wake the enchanted forest. She did it on instinct, not even knowing it existed. 3. Yes, the rapport of Kristoff and Rider with their reindeer does raise questions. Does Kristoff have his own connections with the Northuldra? I don't think Sven 'talking' is a hallucination per se. 4. Films use something called 'telescoping of time'. Something that would take a long time in the real world can be accomplished in mere minutes of screen time. Conversely, something that normally wouldn't take long can be stretched out for dramatic effect. That's why the timing of the trip to the forest seems off. 8. Destroying the dam brought Elsa back because the act restored the balance between the elements. 9. The 'strange language' is very likely an archaic form of whatever language the characters would be speaking in real life, presumably Danish considering the source material. The book shows it to be written in Viking runes, which very few people can read now. 10. I've heard that Frozen II takes place three years after the original film. As for Anna's coronation, it probably occurred as soon as possible, probably a matter of months at most.

OMG, the time one is freaking easy.
Anna tells Mattias that their parents passed away six years ago, and Elsa was crowned at age 21, 3 years later, so this movie takes place 3 years after the first.
As for how long all these events take, all you have to do is look at the events.
Day 1 is the harvest festival and charades. It is the middle of the night when they leave, which is why Elsa gets some sleep.
Day 2 they arrive in the forest.
Day 3 Elsa, Anna, and Olaf find the ship, and Elsa sends Anna and Olaf away in the ice boat.
Elsa does her thing overnight, while Anna and Olaf try to get out of the cave.
Day 4, at dawn, Anna and Olaf find a way out, and Elsa gets herself frozen. It is also this day that the dam is destroyed.
So the main plot takes place over the course of four days.
We can assume Anna would need to be crowned ASAP, but time would be needed to prepare. Since Kristoff was not crowned alongside her, we know they aren't married yet. So we can assume it has been no more than a week.
So the whole thing takes place over approximately 11 days.

I can guess answers to some.
1. How was Elsa saved.
Ans: Imo she shouldn't have been frozen in the first place because she is the 5th spirit that connects all other spirits together(like a leader) makes no sense for her being frozen. but anyways, she got saved as the balance was restored by breaking the dam and because Anna did it. The spirits restored Elsa. There was a scene where all spirit symbols shine in the sky and camera cuts to Elsa where she is saved.
2. How much time has passed between the first two movies
Ans: 3 years Elsa was 21 during her coronation as she was 'Of age' and now Anna is The queen which means she must 21 at least.
My Question:
Why was Elsa riding to Ahtohallan in the end. ?

About Elsa coming back to live:
She didn't just got to far out of curiosity and got herself accidentally killed.
She froze solid after seeking, finding out and publishing the ugly truth about her ancestors in order to right the wrong and make amends.
Maybe that counts as an act of true love? And an act of true love thaws a frozen heart, after all.
Edit: Ok, after giving it another thought I have to admit that it must me more complicated than that, because Elsa didn't thaw immediately but only after her sister broke down the dam and thus executed what Elsa had messaged her. So it must have something to do with Anna's heroic deed as well.

Actually, we do know how much time passed between two movies. In Frozen 2 Anna says that their parents died 6 years ago. In Frozen there is a 3 years time skip between their parents' funeral and Elsa's coronation day which is where the main action starts. Simple mathematics: Frozen 2 takes places 3 years (and a few months given the summer/autumn season difference) after Frozen.

Time can be speculated. In Frozen 2, Anna states that their parents died 6 years ago. In Frozen 1, Elsa is crowned 3 years after her parents death. Given how little time Anna knew Hans, Frozen 1, at best, takes place over the course of a few weeks to allow for travel time. Therefore, Frozen 2 takes place about 3 years after Frozen 1.

In the end Elsa explains that the spirits all agreed and arrendelle deserve to stand, if that's the reason then the spirits may have agreed that Elsa should live to.
And I guess Elsa reached arrendelle with the help of nock the water spirit, he may can transport from one place to another in water easily.

Three years passed between the two movies. Anna said their parents died six years earlier, and at the beginning of the first movie, after their deaths, it said that the rest of the events were taking place three years later. Subtract those three years from the six, and that means it's been three years.

Actually, the creators said that Frozen 2 is set three years after the first movie. This would also fit with Elsa saying to the Arendelle soldiers that their parents died 6 years ago, since Elsa's coronation is said to take place 3 years after their parents died.
