The show DID NOT get cancelled. Every story will eventually run its course. I could see why the creator wanted to end it. The Ross kids were all grown up, Jessie was 22, so they eventually had to move on and did their own things. It would make no sense to have Jessie overstay her welcome.

jessie ran for four seasons which is about average for a disney show. id like to also point out that jessie had a spin off that is still running. its also worth noting that jessie is still the most ran show on disney right now.
