I've read in many other comments as well. Here are some points I noticed that prove why Hermione and Harry are better off as friends:
1. Harry thinks of her as a sister (Deathly Hallows)
2. Ron could help Hermione loosen up a bit and enjoy life, while Hermione could help Ron be more responsible
3. Harry ending up with Hermione would be cliche
4. They're all family now (a part of the Weasleys)
5. Hermione helping out Harry in such a way just reminds me of a sister's care for her siblings when they go through difficult times

Harry and hermione is the perfect example that a boy and a girl can be great friends. Also they were like brother and sister and the most powerful friendship in all hp franchise. Ron and hermione was the perfect love story from the first until the last movie. Ok i know that almost everyone wanted harry and hermione to end up together as a couple but it was better that she ended up with ron. Harry and hermione was a lovely friendship and i repeat that they were like siblings

Correction, in potions class they were not told to create Amortentia, it was Draught of Living Dead.

Only book readers will understand that harry and hermione didn't had romantic feelings for each other at first harry didn't liked hermione bc she bosses a lot he always preferred ron over herms. Most of the fanfics of them always make ron a bad character or bash him alot even if jk did make them a pair ron would be a sidekick

Personally, I like both the pairings of Harry & Hermione and Harry & Ginny. But Harry & Hermione stood out to me the most. This is just my opinion. I have nothing against the other awesome pairings. I would've been fine with Harry & Hermione's pairing to be the canon pairing.

The OBHWF trope is sickening, a matriarch bend on pairing all their childs, almost like Andromeda's parents forcing a marriage with purebloods for her. I'm more inclined to believed the fanon potion theory than the cannon.
