In the ice statues. Moment. The parents speaking.
Iduna: I need to tell you something. It's about my past and where I'm from.
Agnarr: I'm listening.
Assuming that these are accurate echoes of the past, she did tell him where she was from, at least.
She may have not ever told him that she was the one who saved him.
I hope she at least told him when they were dying.
She had not told him yet about that part, as of when he tells their daughters the story.
That's a pretty big secret to keep for that long.

I think that Iduna and Agnarr couldn't think of anything to do about the mist that lasted for 34 years.
Nobody's perfect.
Plotwise, of course, the real truth is that the problem couldn't be solved until Anna and Elsa were. there and ready to solve it.
Did anyone notice how when they're little girls playing, Elsa is already talking about saving thr forest?
And Anna says, Who cares about saving the forest, when there's love?
Hmmm. Different children have different priorities, obviously.

I'm pretty sure there's a scene where Iduna's memories are shown and she tells Agnarr that she needs to tell him about her past. We don't see what she says, but she must have been telling him about being from Northuldra.

Their father wants to save the people trapped in the mist but they can't when they we're kids, they have books in their castle and he knows about the magic trolls so maybe he red about the magic and otoholan

I don't really quite see what Iduna and Agnarr were supposed to be able to do about Northuldra.
Maybe they couldn't quite see what they were supposed to be able to do, either.
Just saying.

All these ideas sound fascinating. A prequel, another elemental spirit aka Samantha, Kristoffs parents as villains, and possibly magical children with a Tangled connection? Amazing
reply

Agnarr's father was the one who was. somewhat less than heroic.
I don't think he was exactly a villain, though.
More like just. very confused.
Sigh.

Why do almost every disney princess have parents who either died, were killed (before the film was set) or are alive and get killed/died in the film?
reply

Best theory I've heard so far. Frozen 3 being about Kristoff's parents crashing their wedding! This I would pay to see in theaters opening day!
