I personally do not see any problem with a female or male character having a love interest as their main objective and being rescued by him, this is not what defines whether a character is good or not, characters should not be written as examples of strength and feminism, they must be written as CHARACTERS, the beast is a man whose main goal is to fall in love and be saved by Belle, and yet he is one of the most complex characters that disney has ever created, there are many female characters acclaimed by the public for being independent and empowered but at the same time they are poorly written characters (there are some examples of that at Disney today, there are many discussions about whether this princess is strong or not but it doesn't really matter, what matters is whether they are captivating or interesting or developed, Aurora wants to be loved by a romantic man, is rescued by him and the fairies, does not save anyone, is not rebellious, but she is a consistent character, with personality and who fulfills her role in the story (protagonized by the fairies, the true heroines of the story, Jane is a damsel in distress and she is charming, fun, fulfills her role in the story, she is a good character, this is what people should focus, Mogli is often rescued by Balu and Bagheera, but he is interesting (with his conflict of belonging or not in the forest, it is easy to empathize with him, that would only be a problem if it hurt the narrative, (inconsistencies, plot holes, change the focus of the story) the priority of a character is not to be an example for children, they must be above all characters

I will be an honest man, istarted to like more the Disney Princesses when they get more adventurer, more like heroines, i loved always Mulan and i love Rapunzel, Merida, Elsa, Anna, Elena, Moana, etc. However, i love Cinderella too cuz its one of the most CRUDE Princesses, Many say Cinderella its like that of she need a Man but if you pay attention to the film, this is not true. She only wants to go to a ball, to have fun. Then there she meets the Prince, who like her, its being antagonized by what they should to be. the Prince chooses Cinderella cuz she was there just yo have fun, not cuz he wanted to be with him.
So to me its pretty unfair than ppl, specially women, say she is not strong cuz she didin't escaped, like if they don't know how an abusive relationship work, She was pretty strong surviving that Hell she called life.
But of course, The Princess needs ro matter by herself always, at the end, she is the person we need to care.

I'm gonna say it, no Disney princess was a damsel in distress. The only way one can truly believe that is if they basically ignored the entire character arc said princess went through PRIOR to the finale. Snow White shows her contributing for room and board and shows that she is extremely trusting. Cinderella shows an individual having to make the best of a horrid situation as she's kept on as a slave while her step family abuses the land her own father owned. Aurora was magically mind raped to prick her finger on a spindle that was cursed. Ariel focuses on ones curiosity and a father having to accept change with his children while also showing her longing to experience a new culture that she couldn't before.

Megra was progressive, little mermaid was progressive, snow white barely mentioned prince charming snow white literally worked hard, had hope followed her dreams escaped abuse and did what she wanted. the prince literally didnt matter in snow white lol. During that time it was depressing. like think a war was going on. and people needed to see snow white, she was a ray of hope she worked hard and had hope. She deserved to Ride off into the sunset. But remember snow white needed NOBODY.
. snow white literally made her dreams come true. Cinderella chose her destiny even under a very abusive house hold. She left it it wasn't about feminism is was about creating your dreams.

I wish normal people stop telling corporations who have the talent and ideas to create these things what to do. I mean they were the ones that got people invested in their stories in the first place. They know what they're doing more than people who don't have talent to make their own stuff. That's why stuff sucks now because people with mediocre imagination try to tell people with the creative ability to do these things what to create. Raya was trash. Disney needs to learn from their old stuff.

Princesess sells better as toys. But making other female heroines is nothing new they had Esmeralda and the first Mulam too. This new movie was extremely bad. The real problem is pussing propaganda instead of goid writting. Moana was cool but the male counterpart and demigod was useless and boring most of the film.

I would like to see a tall Disney princess apprentice that's about6 foot 2 but also show her being beautiful and kind or ugly Disney princess with a heart of gold or an older Disney princess between the ages of 25 to 35 or Disney princess that's going through homelessness or plus size Disney princess

I dont think Cinderella needed to be saved! She wasnt looking for a man and she was abused I think we shouldnt bash her for being an abuse victim but guess thats just me. Also Ariel wanted to live on land BEFORE she even met Eric. Besides, what is wrong with wanting love in your life?

A Princess stating she doesnt want kids. It helps due to women still being put down for not wanting kids. Telling little girls you dont have to fallow the mold of growing up, getting married & having a family. Stop saying youll change your mind.

I feel like I relate to tiana the most because just like me, I always work hard for what I want!
Also, I dont know why they had an African American princess in the 21st century instead of earlier. Disney shouldnt have waited that long
