Why Twilight Character Rosalie Hale's Dark Backstory Was Deleted From The Movies. This video takes an indepth look at the history and life of Rosalie Hale from the Twilight series. This will cover what her life was like before she was turned into a vampire, and how interesting and compelling her story is leading up to the day she gets turned. It also includes a better look at her relationships with her family, friends, and romantic partner, and what she truly wanted out of her human life that she was not able to achieve. Also how her seemingly perfect life that she talked about longing for again in the movie version of Eclipse was not the actual truth, but what she chooses to think of her human life. This will also include her dynamics within the Cullen family, and her individual relationships with each vampire and person. This video will specifically highlight her strained relationship with Edward, and the real reasons why she dislikes Bella so much. Itll also give more details about her life, according to whats revealed in the new book, Midnight Sun, from Edwards perspective. This video will discuss what we, as the moviegoer, got to see as Nikki Reeds portrayal of Rosalie, versus why they altered her backstory and why we didnt get to see more of her interesting and dark past. This video touches on why certain things get left on the cutting room floor from a booktomovie adaptation. The points for this video are: 1. Rosalies Backstory, 2. Rosalie as a Cullen, and 3. What Movie Rosalie Couldve Been

I think the entire movie did Rosalie poorly. No offense to the actress but I dont think she was a great pick. The blonde hair looks fake, Nikki Reid is a dark, stunning, sultry beauty and the character of Rosalie isnt. She is supposed to be fair, light, americana bombshell. And her strength and ferocity should feel shocking. With Reid she looks strong and badass. Its just a different look. And then yes, they didnt delve into her backstory very much. I think they should have humanized her a little earlier on

If Rosalie was so deep in love with Emmett, I seriously doubt shed be jealous that Edward loved Bella. Sure, it took time for her to heal after the initial rejection. Being loved so fully by Emmett and vice versa is what she always wanted. But it definitely makes sense that Rosalie was jealous of Bellas human life and angry that Bella was willing to give up all the possibilities. Initially, I didnt like Rosalie, but her backstory made things clear. Shes definitely one of the best characters!

This franchise made hundreds of millions of dollars on each film. They could have easily added another film or 2 to explain these backstories AND they would have profited greatly! The reason they didn't include these has nothing to do with time issues and is simply bc they directors are unimaginative and lazy

I used to find her cold, cut off from others. Later fell in love with her. It's completely understandable why from the beginning she was so off towards Bella. Bella had the choice to live a normal life whilst she had hers taken away after a rough time with the guy.

I'm an elderly man that thinks these movies are hilariously horrible and even I know that Rosalie's backstory was totally in like, what? the 3rd one? I'm casually certain it was the 3rd one

Im thinking of reading the books but can anyone tell me if theres any main gay characters? Or is it only heteros? Im trying to find something to read with characters and romances I can relate/connect to.

It would have been nice to know that Rosalie and Jasper were twins. I didn't find that out until the book which I have just started reading. So I think that I will learn many more surprises.

Im still pissed they completely left out Alices back story. She, in my opinion, had an interesting one. I wish theyd had James talk about her in twilight (the movie) like he had in the book.
