What Netflix' Love And Monsters Looks like Without CGI.
Dylan OBrien has done it again hes totally nailed the adventure film. We loved his performance in Love and Monsters, but what was it like for him considering most of his costars were imaginary monsters and a dog? Well, if we think about all the people that helped bring his costars to life, then it was totally a full house. The monsters are obviously a huge part of the film, so how were they created? How much of them were actually the result of video effects and CGI in editing and how much of the creations were practical props made for the film? The truth is pretty shocking there were far more creations that were built much to the surprise of us and the creative team as well who expected to do much more CGI work! Which monster was actually a huge inflatable puppet that unexpectedly became an Instagram hit? How about the surprising creation that was composed of over a hundred individual pieces made with a 3D printer and was still in pieces only four hours before it went to camera? OBrien wasnt always working with such realised, three dimensional props though sometimes he was just acting terrified of long blue poles!
Enough about OBrien and the monstrous creations though the real star of the film? The canine companion Boy the dog. Only Boy was actually shared by two pups; Hero and Dodge. These two were total pros and nailed their scenes in just a couple of takes. From the smallest details added with effects to the beautiful natural landscape were covering it all!
