Once You Notice These Actor's Weird Tics, You'll Never Watch Them The Same Again. We all have our unique quirks and mannerisms that we display in day to day life, and actors are no different. Some actors cant help but let these personal tics slip into the roles they play, and we see these tics pop up in multiple characters across multiple films. Once you notice these repetitive traits, its hard to unsee or unhear, as when you watch the actor you wont be able to help but notice every time they do it. Even the best actors in the world cant suppress their natural mannerisms when acting as a character. What tic does Jennifer Aniston do as Racel on Friends? What sounds does Kristen Stewart make whenever she is playing a nervous character? We must warn you that once you see these tics, it will be impossible to unsee them. It can completely change how you watch actors in films and television. Steve Carell, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeff Goldblum, and Keanu Reeves are just a few of the actors and actresses who display recognizable tics across tv and films. Its kind of fun to see professional actors who are so great at immersing themselves in a role to become a completely different person, have some of their natural tendencies slip through. It just goes to show you that you can never truly stop being who you are completely, and that these actors and actresses are normal humans just like the rest of us. Are there any actors you noticed have tics they carry with them from role to role? Let us know!

I've noticed Jennifer clearing her throat before speaking in a few of her movies, but I had never thought anything about it before now. I think I just thought it was a scripted thing. I think the nervous breath from Kristen Stewart is scripted every time. I've only noticed it when she's in scenes she's suppose to be nervous in. Kacey pursed her lips when she was in the original charmed too. I think it's cute. Same with Elizabeth Olsen scrunching her nose. I purse my lips or just poof them out when I'm concentrating on things or annoyed. I get made fun of for it because people think I'm doing it for the same reason people do it when taking pictures of themselves and I don't even realize I'm doing it. Nor will I be taking a picture.

As a person with a Tic Disorder, these aren't tics. Not every facial expression and noise is a tic. I just want people to understand that. No hate meant whatsoever but maybe it could've been called Things Actors Seem to do a lot idk I'm not good at titles

I noticed Sean Bean had one, specifically while playing Ned Stark, where his jaw trembles frequently throughout the first season. It fits the character perfectly because it feels like he's always tense and holding something back

Im sorry but these arent tics. You are giving the wrong message to tons of people who probably think that a tic is any noise or facial expression now. I have tics and trust me, this is all wrong.
reply

I hope people realize not all tics are from a diagnosed disorder! Sometimes they are just habits that become tics. Some are also from the stress or the focus of doing their work.

Martin Freeman shouldve been added to this list ngl. I swear every movie I've seen with him, he does the same head tilt and hand squeeze

Ok but why r u telling us to look away I have tics and if someone told someone else to look away because of my tics I would be devastated
reply

Some actors aren't aware of their own weird tics until somebody brought them to light, and some were they all purely coincidental.
reply

the fact that these were so subtle the millions of people who watched these shows never noticed them is insane
