Outlanders is on its sixth season and still going strong. Were only at the sixth book in Diana Gabaldons series, A Breath of Snow and Ashes so heres hoping all goes well and we have a few more seasons ahead of us! For now, while we wait impatiently from week to week we can enjoy some behindthescenes facts about the show, starting with the new season! The inspiration for the books came from the oddest of places. We bet you could never guess in a million years! You can thank fashion modelturnedactor, Caitriona Balfe and her costar, Sam Heughan, as well as the introduction of an intimacy coordinator to the crew for Season sixs continued (perhaps reinvigorated) storytelling. Caitriona struggled a bit this season, due to being six months pregnant while the whole cast was struggling with Covid and the awful weather conditions.
