Watch Tom Holland And Zendaya Audition For Marvel's SpiderMan Roles! Hey The Things, today were talking about the audition process for some of the stars of Marvel Studios SpiderMan films. Audiences around the world have come to love Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon as SpiderMan, MJ, and Ned, but things almost went differently. In fact some of your favorite performers from these films landed their roles simply by chance, while others initially auditioned to play other characters. While bigname stars like Michael Keaton, Jake Gyllenhaal, Marisa Tomei, and J. K. Simmons were always the filmmakers first choices, they realized that they would have to have backup plans if things fell through and the actors and actresses turned down their respective roles. Another common practice was creating new versions of the characters that were different from previous incarnations of the characters in order to be more flexible with casting. Laura Harriers Liz was initially portrayed as more of a mean girl in the comics before being changed to be someone much more kindhearted. Tony Revoloris Flash Thompson was often portrayed as a tall, blondehaired jock in the comics before being changed into a character that better fits the mold of modern high school. Even Jacob Batalons Ned was originally portrayed as a coworker of Peters before being brainwashed and turning into the villainous Hobgoblin and was ultimately changed into Peters lovable scenestealing best friend. It would be hard for us to imagine any other actor or actress taking on the mantle of these characters. So grab your web shooters and get ready to swing as we look at how some of the stars of the SpiderMan franchise were cast in their roles

I thought that Remi Hii's character was more a Flash Thompson than Tony Revolori's. Even though Flash was supposed to be a bully/asshole, he was also supposed to be a jock. I get that they were trying to have Flash as a modern day in your face bully but people like that are not as common. Modern day jocks are more those chill tall guys that are personable/likeable and are a lot more common. I think they should've focused more on the Jock aspect of flash rather than the bully. Heck I think I have an easier time thinking Remi Hii's character as agent venom than Tony Revolori's.

Tom Holland was a perfect choice for Spiderman and he delivered. His sidekick also was also a good choice. Although Zandaya is stylish and stunning, her acting needs improvement. She should consider getting an acting coach and work on her self confidence. I believe she can improve and develop strong acting skills. Don't let your ego get in your way and do what you have to do to secure your professional future. Good Luck.

How it really went:
Marketing:
We need to represent each ethnicity in our movies to attract more audiences:
Let's get a nerdy caucasian - check
Let's get a cute girl with dark skin (but not too dark) - check
Let's get a the fat best buddy - check (he's asian) - double check
Let's get an indian - check
Let's get an arabian - check

I feel like Ned, Mj and Flash were bad casting choices, they have too much of an immature/cheap laugh vibe, very childish and annoying. i find them cringe and believe the movies would be have been better without them. Hopefully we don't have to see them again after no way home.

Find it hard to believe she walked in and by the time she walked out had gotten the role. Seems awfully weird, that's Hollywood for you. They have their agenda

the cast is so crazy diverse, it reminds me of my community college, but SoCal in reality is also diverse like the movie.

Will it be hard imagining a better MCU Spiderman than Tom Holland?
Super easy, barely an inconvenience.
