The MCU is one of the most well known franchises in the world, and the actors within it are household names. From Tom Holland as Spider-Man, to Chris Evans as Captain America, it s hard to imagine anyone else playing these iconic roles. But at one point, all of these positions were open for the taking, and things could have gone very differently.
Some of your favorite actors almost didn t land the roles you know them for. Even Black Widow was originally cast as someone else before Scarlett Johansson stepped in. Did you know multiple actors went for the role of Captain America, but ended up getting a different part in the MCU? There were a lot of close calls throughout the years that could have drastically changed the face of Marvel. Even Robert Downey Jr. wasn t a sure thing at the time. There was a lot of doubt surrounding his casting. Could you imagine an MCU where Downey isn t playing Iron Man?
