Top Gun: Maverick was done practically and not CGI, which no doubt you know by now. So naturally, the entire movie was dangerous. Well, we re not covering the entire movie but just the parts that have fun little anecdotes to go with it. Like Miles Teller being poisoned. Tom Cruise had the best comeback, too.
Or how about a roof literally being detached thanks to the speed of the F-18s. Or maybe some of those insane stunts! Like flying over the mountains. Teller hit his head. Actually, Teller was having a pretty terrible time between that head whack and the poisoning. He genuinely thought he was a goner for a moment when one stunt got a little too close to real danger for his liking. Monica Barbaro might have lied to the director about her swimming ability during her audition.
That could have seriously hurt her, or her career. The swimming training went so much farther than she could have anticipated. Imagine swimming. Now imagine swimming in a parachute. Now imagine swimmig in a parachute with sharks. We re kidding about that last part. You can imagine it if you want, though. Tom Cruise was doing something silly on his motorbike that could have seriously done him in. Oh, and did we mention the vomit? Yeah, there was a lot of vomit.
Everybody vomited. Except Monica. She did handstands before getting on the plane to get her head used to the weird pressure a bit. Everybody needs to be a bit more like Monica. Date: 2022-09-08
