You left out the part where all the writers and artists just FORGOT that Ultimate Wasp was supposed to be Asian. In the first volume of The Ultimates, a bunch of the characters are sitting around, talking about who should play them in a movie. Nick Fury says he wants Samuel L. Jackson to play him (and then that actually HAPPENED, and someone pipes up that Wasp should be played by Lucy Liu. Wasp snarks back that they only said Lucy Liu because she's the only Asian actress anyone could think of.
When volume 2 came out, everyone just forgot that she was Asian, so they made her White and no one ever changed her back (I think.
As flawed as it was, the Ultimate Universe holds a special place in my heart. That was the first set of comics that really grabbed onto me and wouldn't let go. From there, I jumped to the main Marvel Universe, and to DC, and to other publishers. Now I'll read almost anything from any source. The Ultimate Marvel Universe made me a comics fan.

The Ultimate Marvel Universe started shortly after I had to stop reading comics (financial reasons, but everything I've heard about it makes me think of those kids who go to college and are just so overcome by the freedom they suddenly have that they drop all pretense of self-discipline and indulge every -when I grow up- fantasy they ever had.

I don't read comics, but I enjoyed the recent spider man moving and was looking up stuff on him. This lead me here. Thanks for the information, but I doubt I'll be reading comics, there stories aren't that interesting. Though I'll enjoy the next Spiderman movie, he may be the only thing keeping the MCU afloat.

Earth 1610 was a lot more violent than Earth 616. That-s one thing I like about earth 616 even it had violent moments at least it was all gore and blood all the time. Even with Carnage earth 616 was sorta less violent.
