I might be mistaken, but, back in the 90s, Peter Parker couldn't get enough money selling pics of himself as Spider-man, so he decided to utilize his masters degree in education and sent out CVs to universities/learning institutions for more stable work. Charles Xavier looked over his resume and accepted him as a live-in, on-campus adjunct professor for his school, technically becoming an X-man.

Wow, I didn-t know that Katie Power was actually considered an honorary X-man. That-s awesome. What about Dr. Nemesis? Shouldn-t he be on the list, too (Oh yeah, and also Longshot. Not that I like him, but is he a mutant? I don-t think so.

There are a lot of non mutants that we either associated with the Xmen or have been members but with the Krakoa Era they are not allowed on the island which I kinda don't agree with.
