I know of at least 3 other roles that Adam West was in costarring with the 3 Stooges in The Outlaws is Coming a role on Bewitched, and even the last season of Laverne and Shirley in which Lavern had gone solo when Shirley got let go from the show and even I knew it would flop without her. Lavern alone just couldn't go solo. Not even in keeping the title the same.

Fairly Odd Parents he played a fictional. Well somewhat fictional version of himself. He was as a washed up version of himself half convinced he was still the Superhero TV character he played (changed from Batman to Catman) with some of those same crazy idiotic traits his Family Guy counterpart thrown in (usually involved taking the cat part too literally)

Adam West voiced The Grey Ghost in Batman The Animated Series. He also had a support role in one of the Young Lady Chatterley movies. In the Batman cartoon as well as The Super Friends Adam West voiced Batman. Almost forgot. He was also Wombatman I believe in some cartoon. I forget which.

I heard another reason why Adam took the name Adam was because there was a country/western singer named Billy Anderson for whom he did not want to be confused with. Michael Caine had to adopt his present moniker for similar reasons.

No, the show was ALWAYS meant to be campy! The guy who made it didn't even like comic books, and so he thought that the only way make it successful would be to have it be a parody that was played completely straight!

The show was created with little children in mind. It was made for their enjoyment!
My friend's 4 year old son loved the show! No other Batman would appeal more to little kids than Adam West's show.

I prefer Batman campy! I don't like the Christian Bale movies' tone compared to the lighthearted TV series and the Michael Keaton movies. Adam West will always be the best.
